Verge board needs repair - wood or UPVC?

Understand that what what you are discussing are SYMPTOMS, not PROBLEMS. The verge needs repairing because (most probably) there is a problem with water getting to it. A leaky roof or poor design. If it was a leaky roof at one time, causing the rot, and the roof was fixed then you would only need to replace the damaged area. If it was damaged due to poor design or some hidden leak or such and you replaced the verge, the damage would come back. In either case, look for the PROBLEM and it will give you a clue as to what may have to be done.

Verge MP3 DFP200

According to all the reviews, forums etc. I could find, it is a standard USB 1.1 4-pin type A male to type B male cable. Here is one example but there should be a hundred different versions of the same at any computer store for very little cash; http://www.amazon.com/Iogear-Premium-Retractable-Cable-mini-B/dp/tech-data/B0001QNM08/ref=de_a_smtd/105-0022661-9444444 If this is not the right cable, then if you could post back with a photo of the connector socket on the player from close up and a couple of different angles we can hopefully identify which it needs. No one is going to design a special cable for an MP3 player of this value, it would be a pointless expense unless they were going to continue selling the cable exclusively, which they are not doing. There are however quite a lot of "standard" USB cable designs which are all different and not very standard. Let me know if you have tried this cable type with no success, and with a photo or two so that I can identify the right one if that is the case. Verge have vanished from the face of the earth, so don't waste your time trying to contact them. I had no luck finding anyone else who admits to having picked up Verge's torch either, so we have to hope that the people involved are enjoying their Caribbean hideaways. Hope this helps :)

I lost my adaptor for the recever of my radio

I am no way affiliated, but I get my car audio from Crutchfield and they have a HUGE range of adapters that come gratis with car audio purchase. However, you can get these adapters separately as I did when installing my wife's car audio. www.crutchfield.com.

Convergence

Hello,
This is a sign that the amplifiers are on the verge of going out since it is able to exert partial control over the CRTs. I would suggest that you try manual convergence, follow the direction in the schematic diagram on how to do this. If this does not work then I would suggest either changing out the convergence amplifiers and all of  their biasing resistors, or having a qualified TV repair shop do the job for you.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,

Verge MP3 : No files notification

There is a tiny pinhole next to the usb port - try resetting the device - if it still fails, you are out of luck - I think it has more to do with having Windows Media Player 11 on your computer than SP2. The computer wants to treat it as an MTP device, and this older player cannot do that. The company has long been out of the business.

Verge VGA300M Speaker terminals

Mono amps often have two sets of speaker outputs; this is just to simplify multi-speaker connections. The two positive and negative terminals are connected together internally, so they're effectively the same as one terminal. There's no difference between connecting both subs to the same positive and negative terminals, or using different terminals for each sub; electrically they'll all be connected together either way.
