Kenmore Microwave / coffee maker leak

I'm having trouble locating the source but when we attempt to brew a pot of coffee a large water mess starts filling the countertop. This water doesn't have any coffee grounds in it so I am making the initial assumption that a seal or the water storage area is at fault.

I broke my coffee pot and checked on the price of a new one which was $65 on line + shipping. Forgot that, since I got the microwave on sale two yrs. ago for $100. If you haven't fixed your microwave and still have the coffee pot, are you willing to sell it?

How do you go about "descaleing" the coffee maker? The water does not flow through the coffee capsule very well.

I know that most grocery stores sell a "cleaner" or two next to their coffee filters/coffee makers/kitchen appliances section. These are usually heavily acidic, and will do a great job of cleaining your coffee maker. I've always been wary of acid in my coffee though, so I just use white vinegar. It'll do a decent job of cleaning out the coffee maker. Run a 1:1 mix of water and vinegar through your coffee maker, drain it, then run water through at least twice.

Scaleing/deposits building up in a coffee maker are signs of imperfections in the water. All tap water has it, but if you don't want to worry about it, use bottled or filtred water in your coffee pot. Plus, your coffee will taste better!

What am I doing wrong. Cusinart 1200 less than a year old. Takes an hour to brew. Took out permanent filter and use paper #4 filter. Has been slow since I bought it. Please advise. Other than that,...

Try cleaning it with vinegar. Sounds like you need alot of help on this one run a full pot of vinegar through the machine. with a paper filter in the basket. then run two to three full pots of just water. this should help decale the coffee pot.

I have a Black 4 cup Mr Coffee with luminate lighting and time display programer so that I can have coffee brewed in the morning when I get up for work at 4:30am my problem is the coffee pot has started...

I had a black and decker coffee pot do same thing and it was brand new. here is how I fixed it.
make sure the filter seated down good. If you look at the top of the coffee pot it should open up the little valve of the coffee filter holder. also mine had a little water spout above the coffee filter that swings over the filter. make sure it is over the filter. I know my coffee pot is different, but I think the problem is the opening from filter to coffee pot is not open some how so the water is flooding over the filter and going out the sides onto counter
hope this helps

We are trying to set up the hamiliton beach brew station 6 cup but do not have the manual. can you walk me threw it please?

Sure Thing :)

1) Open the lid
2) Take out the filter basket.
3) Take out the Coffee Tank and fill it with water to the appropriate mark at the back of it. (Should be a stepped type marker)
4) Pour the water from the Coffee Tank into the Water Reservoir in the coffee maker it's self. (This should be on the left side of the metal warming plate.
5) Place the Coffee Tank back on the brew station.
6) Place the Filter Basket back in the coffee maker
7) Add a coffee Filter and 5 Tablespoons of coffee
8) Close the lid
9) Press the Brew/Start button (The top left one)

My coffee pot on a kenmore brew and wave is missing a stop

To find helpful exploded view diagrams and get part numbers, you can just enter your full model number at the Sears parts site.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number usually has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

I have a Kenmore Brew Wave that has cracked in the plastic unit that you put the water in to make coffee. Where can I find a replacement. Had a job getting a new carafe when it cracked.

Sears do not make the carafe anymore but this is something that I do that may help?
I took the top off the carafe an just placed it to the top of my coffee cup and sat the top part the holds the coffee on top of it and just poured the hot water from a cup I heated in the microwave. Do it very slowly until you get the it right for you, it works for and I hope it will do the same for you guys ?
