Here's a link for ordering that part. From all that you described it most certainly sounds like the motherboard is done for, unfortunately. Hope this helps.

Blank screen with white dash on the bottom

most likely it is a matter of lcd screen.
to be sure, try out the display by connecting to the monitor. if this means there is no problem in your display card working properly. now open the cover of a laptop and looking for connections to LCD screen to the motherboard. If you find it, unplug and plug the back with the tight, then restart your laptop. see the results. if still problems, it forces you to remove the lcd screen laptop computer and do problem solving with LCD cable, inverter and LCD screen. do the test one by one to ensure that the real problem.

My display is either all black or all white. When an external monitor is attached, the display does work on the external monitor. Everything else works just fine when the external monitor is pluged inn

It's either the lcd itself the the lcd cable has become loose, either way you're going to need to take the lcd housing apart to make sure the cable is nice and secure (both ends - 1 to lcd itself, 2 to motherboard)

If the cable is nice and tight and you get the same results then for sure the lcd needs to be swapped out.

My hp nc 8430 on properly but I am not able to see in to screen because its display is not visible it is too deem/dark

Try attaching an external monitor to the laptop & see if you could get any display on it. If this is successful, then you might have either a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board.
The LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp.

I got black screen a few seconds after reboot my LENOVO 3000 N100, type 0689 - 2BS, Laptop run normally without screen light, I need to flash screen in order to read it. I tried unplugging the battery and...

Hi. I think the LCD screen of your laptop needs a replacement because I think the backlight on that LCD is already busted thats why you need to point a flashlight or some sort of light just to see the display. Powerdraining your computer wont work because this already a hardware issue with the LCD, that's why when you switch display with your monitor it works fine. I would suggest replacing the LCD of that laptop or try calling Lenovo tech support if your laptop still under warranty so that they would replace it for free. This is no. to contact for your Lenovo laptop US/Canada 1-800-426-7378, Australia 1-300-880-917. Hope this Helps

Laptop display goes blank after a second, not lcd inverter

I have had a similar issue with an LCD monitor and the issue was not with the inverter itself but the backlights. They can go bad and short (which is where my issue was. Once they were removed the screen was working again (the lights needed replaced).
Hope this helps!

Mortherboard,keyboard replacement on gateway m360

First I would ensure my video cable was firmly connected. Sometimes that connector does not seat all the way causing what you are seeing. That is the rectangular connector leading fro the cable on left side of the LCD to the motherboard. Normally there are several hardware components related to a white display. LCD, video cable, or motherboard all causes of white screen. Have you checked external video? What was the original issue before motherboard and keyboard replacement?

Screen is Black even when the machine is on

Good day,

since you can still hear that your laptop is starting, the system is still fine, hence, we can isolate the problem to several causes that would make your screen turn black, it might be due to a loose connection between the video card and your screen, the cable connection to your screen, or your screen might be busted already.

if you are the techie type of gal, you can dismantle your laptop yourself and isolate the problem. be sure that the warranty is already expired since you will automatically void the warranty if you open your laptop yourself. however, i suggest that you contact a competent technician to check the problem as it might also include other problems that might have caused the black screen (software driver for your video card perhaps).

i hope this will help
