Canon powershot A570 is not recognized by my hp LPavillion laptop

I am able to install the camera cd softare on my laptop, however, when I plug in the camera to download pictures, a screen appears thar says it cannot detect camera. Doinga search of my security center, I found that it cannot be installed because it is not digitall signed or not signed in the appropriate maner. How do I use my camera with my computer??????? It works on my husband's year older same HP Pavillion laptop.

I am having the same problem with my Canon A570. My computer (windows xp) does not recognize it. I tried your suggestion above but that did not help either. I know this camera takes great pics but I am starting to miss my Sony Cybershot, It was so much easier to download the pics. Can someone please help me figure out how to get my computer to recognize my camera and get my pics downloaded, I am afraid I am going to have to take the camera back and purchase a different kind.

In Windows XP, right-click [My Computer]: Properties: Hardware tab: [Driver Signing]: choose Warn, and accept the driver when it asks you.

Before you can download any pictures from your camera, you have to install the software that was on the CD that came with your camera. Canon also allows you to download the latest versions from there web side, when you go there.
While installing the Canon Zoombrowser, the correct drivers are installed too.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I can't find my CD to d/load my cannon A570 to my new computer.. is it available online?

go to this lik and choose your Operating System (Win xp, Win Vista or Win 7) and download the complete drivers and softwares.

I purchased a new laptop and it will not read the canon a570is disk. it gives me an error stating "the screen resolution to execute digital camera solution disk is not sufficient." help

No need to attention for it,just go on ,I have happen to this problem like this for several model of cameras,but it is just a OS mislead error sometime.By the way,confirm your battery for Canon PowerShot A570 IS is installed.
