Does the computer have Windows Vista on it?

If so, that is correct. Lexmark does not have a Vista driver for the X63.

However, many people with Lexmarks (and other non-Vista supported models) have had success using Windows 2000 drivers on computers with Vista installed.

If you have Windows XP installed, or if you have Vista and want to try the Windows 2000 driver, they can both be downloaded here, directly from Lexmark:

Be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing the software. ONLY plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.

Go to the following link and enter in the model of the printer, then select Vista for the operating system. I just installed vista drivers for an X1100 series printer last weekend. Worked GREAT!

Trying to install a lexmark x63 to my computer

Here's a link to Lexmark's site where you can download the printer drivers:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:93:0:0

If your computer is running Windows Vista this printer may not work. At least Lexmark doesn't offer drivers for Vista. This either means it's not compatible, or that Vista doesn't need any special driver software.

I have a Lexmark X63 printer. I have installed new printer cartridges. Now the operator panel display window says change all ink. Now what do I do?

Printers are a very temperamental device. They will take a few tries before working most of the time, just because they can. My advice is just to take out the printer cartridges, turn off the printer, turn it back on, and install them back in. If that doesn't work, uninstall them again, turn off the power, unplug the adapter, and do it all over again.

Good luck!

Lexmark x3430 need ink cartriage

This is the only information I could find. Didn't your printer come with a black and color ink cartridge? If it did, all you need to do is take the ink cartridge out and write down the numbers written on the cartridge. The only ink cartridge I could positively confirm was the #24 color ink cartridge. The Lexmark website does not list any black ink cartridges for this model. This information was obtained from Officemax.com.
Lexmark - 24 Ink Cartridge - Color
Compatible with Lexmark Z1400 series, X3500 series and X4500 series printers;
Lexmark - 23 Ink Cartridge - Black
Compatible with Z1400 series, X3500 series and X4500 series printers;

I am so frustrated. I have a brand new computer and running on Windows Vista. It is not recognizing the Lexmark 1270 printer. I've tried everything. When I hook the printer up to my other computer...

Had a similiar issue with Vista not playing nice with my Dell all in one.
Had to go to the dell site and find a driver for this unit that will work with Vista, but first they will show a list of compatible printers and non-compatible so I would look for that first.
Good luck.
