My tv is 8 yrs old, when you first turn it on the picture is dim until it warms up then it's fine, I do have red & blue lines at the top and bottom of the screen at all times, and if i switch to ANT B i get a vertical jitter. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

These sets among other things with age develop bad solder connections: I suspect on the board that plugs onto the end of the picture tube you have some broken solder connections--the red, green, and blue video output circuit is there.
The really hard part with this set is just getting it apart--weighs a ton.
Let me know if I can help (not picking any set that heavy up).
we just picked upi a VS-60607 60 inch projectoin tv, There are several issues with this television. when powered on the colors are allconstrued and teh image is often chopped and warped, we hooked upi the cable yet there are only two local channels recieved and the power will turn off randomly every severl minutes. Any thooughts?
Have you checked for dust on the Tubes and mirror? This may cause a bad picture quality. Also power supply related problems like capacitors can cause a dark picture. Try replacing some of them in the power supply area and line stage. Also adjustments in the service mode, but for this you will need the service manual. Good Luck,JUS004
