The printer gears up and prints the Windows logo in a blue color and then the orange error light starts blinking. It will not print anything else.

    Some more info?

Could you give a detailed explanation of what you are doing at the time, what the printer does, and what the status monitor (Bottom left hand corner of you monitor) says?

Problem with cr motor message comes up and the printer won't print.

CR errors are tough. You might have a "parts" machine now.

Epson Artisan 800 continually indicating paper jam error--No jam.

Yes, that fixed the problem on my Artisan 800! Thanks so much for the info about slipping the cr scale back onto the u-guide on the back of the print head carriage, Larry P and dabaker!

For those trying this, the u clip is upside down so, from the front of the printer, you move the CR scale ribbon down a little and in towards you gently, in from the back towards the lower part of the rear of the print head assembly, and it will slip in on the top part of the ribbon into the u shaped groove (which, to be technical, looks more like an n-shaped groove, an upside down u). If it is loose and not clipped in, the CR scale ribbon will bow out easily on both sides of the print head carraige when lightly pressed towards the back of the printer near either side of the print head. (As pointed out in the service manual, do not touch the ribbon with your fingers, particularly if they may be greasy/greasty/gritty; use a clean tool for this-I used a q-tip which worked well for both testing the tension and for pushing it down and back into the proper guide slot.) If the CR scale ribbon is clipped in properly to the print head (properly seated in the n-shaped slot), it will bow towards the back of printer easily ONLY on the side that your press it from (ie left or right) but not on the opposite side of the carriage; the opposite side will remain almost entirely flush to the rear of the print assembly. Remember to press gently; you do not want to stretch or damage this scale ribbon if you can help it. If you have a small dental mirror and good light, you will be able to see the n-shapped clip (it's plastic and black on my 800 clearly. If the ribbon is correctly seated, it will be in the slot at the top and free at the bottom. Because of the use of u-slot in the previous posts, I was confused as to where to fit this in but then figured, nothing to lose and yep, it's actually the n-shaped slot at the top.

HP920c cartridge light wont stop blinking, printer wont print

Please refer below for detailed troubleshooting of the specific condition:

PRINT CARTRIDGE light RESUME light POWER light Blinking Off On c00106873.jpg c00106862.jpg c00106865.jpg Problem

The printer top cover is open, or there may be something wrong with the print cartridge.

  1. Close the printer top cover.
  2. If the PRINT CARTRIDGE light continues to blink, continue with the following steps:
    1. Open the top cover. The print cartridge cradle will move and then stop.
    2. Locate the yellow arrow on the top of the print cartridge cradle. The yellow arrow points to a drawing of a cartridge that represents a symptom. Perform the task associated with that symptom.
    3. For a list of symptoms, refer to How to use the cartridge drawings under the top access door on a 900 series Deskjet .

White ink printing with alps MD 5000

To print white, you need to use the spot color option in the printer properties. The object to be printed must be all black. It seems counter to what you might think, but the spot color mode will print the solid black areas as the selected spot color.

I consistently get a paper jam error at the same point in a plot job i have re rendenderd the job to different size paper and reformatted the document several times, but the plotter crashes at the same...

I've had the same problem, and through some experimentation and reading in the service manual, I believe the actual cause is a failing CR motor, although I haven't yet replaced it. Try things that will reduce head speed and the speed at which it changes directions. For example, if you aren't using the entire width of the media, try adding a black line something similar to the print in the far margin to force the printhead to move farther. You can also try changing print modes. I've found that unidirectional printing is far more likely to have problems than bidirectional printing as well as the high speed 360x360 modes. Best luck is usually with 720x720 or 720x1440 in bidirectional mode, and if it fails, try changing the width of the print. You might also check that the printhead moves freely all the way across the printer. You could have a bad bearing. The printer detects a paper jam anytime the amperage goes too high on the CR motor, and it seems pretty sensitive.

R-200 refuses to print on dvd

you can download an updaated version of the software from the above website and then try to print and it should print on a dvd.

Either that or
this an australian website and wil have all the downloads for any updated software.

check that the CD draw at the front is fully closed. Sounds daft, but many have been left ajar and caused the fault.

Ifthe draw is fully closed and you have opened and cl;osed it a couple oftimes, then there is a problem with the switch that is use to detectthe draw opening.

Check that the contact point on the printer body is intact as per image1. It is possible it may have been broken off.

Theother possibilities include the switch (located within the draw itself)is faulty, broken or not conected. In this situation you would need aservice manual to disassemble the draw and test the switch/cables.

If all else is ok, it may suggest a faulty main board in the machine.

Look for a manual at
if you intend to dimantle the machine
