This is what you need to do:
1) Look to see if the power supply module has any caps with leaking/bulging tops.

2) If you do have any indicator lights on the front panel, then it means the Standby 5vdc power supply section is working for the main logic to operate. Look at the termnials of the power supply that is labeled with STBY5V or something like that. This is a MUST HAVE voltage to get th TV started.
3) When the power button is activated, it will send out turn on signal #1 to the power supply module to turn on the main 5vdc (for the rest of the logic ciruites), 12~16vdc (for sound power amplifiers), and the 24vdc (for the backlight inverter board). Another turn on signal #2 is sent to the Backlight on/off control pin on the inverter board. Signal #3 is for turning on the T-CON board LCD panel.
It uses all these turn on signal so when the TV is in standby/sleep mode it will not consume all these power to save electricity and pass Energy Star compliance.

So now you have some basic ideas how LCD TV works and what is needed to turn on the TV.
Check out those voltages before it is on and after it is on

LCD screen part number for Polaroid tda-03211c

Replacing the LCD panel in any TV is not a cost efficient choice for the average person. The cost of the LCD panel is usually as much or more than the TV is worth, often times costing as much as a brand new TV. Considering the poor reputation for service that Polaroid had before it went bankrupt, it is best you consider another option since the screen is only one part of what makes the TV. Even if you were to replace the screen, you still would have a TV that was out of warranty without any service support if another part fails.

Screen black. polaroid tv 32". have sound TV/DVD Combo TDA-03211C

sounds like inverter board. What it sounds like is happing is your LCD is working ut the backligkt board that allows you to see is kicking off. (as you still have sound) Which could be the (most likely) inverter board, or the power supply board. You can take apart and check for voltage at your power supply. The power supply has a pigtail with large white wires and a connector. Power up with the center back cover off and check your voltage at the white connector on the power supply before and after the screen gos out. If there is no large voltage loss it is your inverter board.

You can used boards on e-bay or
