Any CD can be simply copied. I use Nero Burning ROM. Using the program - select Copy CD and it will copy any CD (including the security devices). Nero costs money to keep (and obtain the Nero Burning ROM as opposed to Nero Essentials which is available on the Trial ware and will not copy a CD) so you may want to go to a site like this:

http://www.download.com/CD-DVD-Burners/3150-2646_4-0.html

And browse through the downloadable programs - Read the specs as not all of these will simply Copy a CD and not all are free.

Note: It is legal to make a "Backup Copy" of a CD that you own, but it is illegal to make multiple copies of that CD.

It reads and writes normal cds but displays an error message when i try to burn dvds, what could be the problem and how can it be fixed?

If your DVD burner is an old one then the Laser could be going out in which it is not powerful enough to burn Discs anymore but it can still read them. Can it read DVDs?

The more advanced the media is the more likely it can't read them in a older Player. DVDs would be hardest to burn or even read.

If this is the case the DVD burner must be replaced. They are cheap and I would recommend newegg.com. A typical DVD burner is $30.

Hi,i understand your plight, but i dont think you can get those Softwares for free except from crack sites Google these Software,i think Recovery Undelete, also i think you should get a new hard drive to avoid future re occurrence from the faulty one, then try backing up at least once a month onto a separate medium e.g DVDs,CDs or Flash Pen Or Disk, even an External Hard Drive Would the job for you.

Check whether you are putting the proper CD, I mean to say that its a blank CD. It could also be possible that your CD is bad.

Secondly you can also clean your CD writer using the cleaner.

There are certain CDs which are not compatible with the burner. Try using a different CD of a different make.

Reloaded XP from cds. My Toshiba laptop has a product code/ID but

Are the cds the originals that came with your laptop? If not then that is the problem- you need to use a Toshiba OEM cd for your product key to work with it. If you are using a different brand cd (dell, hp, acer, etc.) then you will need to use their product key.

Is a CD disk wrighter ok to load as a back up for real player.? Why is there diffrent zones written on cds when newzealand is a zone free country?.same with Play station /and DVD.Is this way to control how...

You should be certain that your version of Windows has the right time zone registered first, then all else will flow correctly from there, zone free or not.
And yes, you can use a CD Writer as a back up medium. It is actually better than most things, but a DVD burner is even better, and an external USB Hard Drive is even better still. The higher the capacity of the drive, the better you are when backing up.

Power Pointe Presentation

The CDROM or DVDROM on the computer at your reception hall may just be sluggish to spin up and open the file in the associated program. This is in contrast to a pen drive or memory card.

I don't know when your wedding is, but there are companies that will make give away gift items from 512MB pen drives and silk screen what ever you want to say on the face of the pen drive. Costs are somewhere around $10 a piece but don't hold me to that.

If your master file is 326MB there should be room for the power point reader program from Microsoft for those who don't have it on their own computers.

Lastly, when you have the master CD project that includes the PP reader, check of the setting in your burner program to finalize the disc. This will make it pull up faster.

Anything else I can do please comment back and I'll be glad to help.

Regards,
Worldvet
