Lcd base screws

I just got a 52" lcd Samsung and has no screws for the base. What kind of screws should I purchase? is there a specific kind of screw?

I abandoned my wall mount and went to re-attach the base, but the screws are missing. I usually tape screws to parts I save but obviously didn't this time. I can't find a screw that fits! I can't believe they don't identify the screw type in the manual. To the user that bought one at a hardware store......can you tell me the size????

The Samsung 42MF438 specifically, 42MF438B/27 table top base uses 5mm x 16mm 0.8 pitch screws. Flat heads with Phillips or hex socket work the best. They cost me $0.61 each at my hardware store. If you buy it as a part # 313912879931 it will cost you about $6 plus at least $5 in shipping.

The screws on the 26" Insignia without the dvd appear to be #8 1 1/2" self threading flat head screws. Hope that helps.

Went by Future Shop and asked them to show me what kind of screws I needed. The salesperson took one out of a base on display and showed me. I purchased the screws from the hardware store.

Hi,

The size of the screws used for attaching the TV is M6. You can either use M6X12 or M6X16 screws for attaching the TV. You can purchase the cable from any local hardware shops.

How do you remove the stand on a samsung 19inch lcd tv..

There are 4-6 screws that must be removed. look on the rear of the TV for screws at the base of fairly deep holes. They require a #2 phillips head screw driver. Remove all of the screws and then get a friend to hold the base whild you pull the tv straight up about 6-7 inches. Joe

How to remove the stand from samsung 860 52"

  1. Spread the comforter out on a flat surface such as the floor.
  2. Step 2 Lay the Samsung flat-screen television face down on the comforter on the floor.
  3. Step 3 Use the magnetized screwdriver to gently unscrew the four to six screws securing the stand to the television.
  4. Step 4 Remove the screws with the magnetized screwdriver. If you do not have a magnetized screwdriver, cover the end of a normal screwdriver with masking tape with the adhesive side out so that it will catch the screw and pull it from the hole.
  5. Step 5 Pull the stand from the back of the television
  6. Step 6 Mount the television to the wall with wall-mounting hardware you can purchase from any home entertainment store.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

Toshiba 52 inch flatscreen

I have just completed removing tha base from a Toshiba 52 inch HDTV. There are 5 screws in total. Three about 8 inches form the base and another 2 about 4 inches from the base in the arrangement shown below

(X) is a screw
(l) center line

X X X 3 screws 8 inches from base
X l X 2 screws 4 inches from base
______l______ The base

Keep your feet clear as your undoing the last screw..the base slides out vertically downward and weighs about 10-15 pounds so keep your the toes, fingers etc safe. The risk of being sued may explain why Toshiba didn't this publish in the US manual.
