The USB port is only for mouse control or service (software actualization), is not for video. In this model (whit a PC) you should use the VGA port (the blue conector).

Is there anyway to connect my Chromebook to my Epson EMP-83H projector when my Chromebook only has either a USB or 2 Type -C ports?

Yes, there are a few ways to connect your Chromebook to an Epson EMP-83H projector even if your Chromebook only has a USB or 2 Type-C ports. Here are a few options you can try:
  1. Use a USB-C to HDMI adapter: If your projector has an HDMI input, you can use a USB-C to HDMI adapter to connect the projector to one of your Chromebook's Type-C ports. This will allow you to mirror your Chromebook's screen on the projector.
  2. Use a USB-C to VGA adapter: If your projector has a VGA input, you can use a USB-C to VGA adapter to connect the projector to one of your Chromebook's Type-C ports. This will allow you to mirror your Chromebook's screen on the projector.
  3. Use a Chromecast or similar device: You can use a Chromecast or similar device that can be connected to the projector via HDMI, this device will let you mirror your Chromebook's screen on the projector wirelessly.
  4. Use Google Meet: If the projector have internet connectivity, you can use Google Meet on your Chromebook to conduct a video call, you can share the screen of your Chromebook with the projector and use it as if it were connected through cable.
  5. Use a USB-C to USB adapter: If your projector has a USB input, you can use a USB-C to USB adapter to connect the projector to one of your Chromebook's Type-C ports. This will allow you to use the USB function on the projector, such as using a USB drive to display content on the projector.
It's worth to mention that, Before buying any adapter or device, make sure it's compatible with your projector, and also check the resolution and refresh rate supported by the adapter to ensure that it can meet your needs. Additionally, it's always best to check the instruction manual of your projector and the adapter to ensure that you are using it correctly.

Hooked hdmi dongle to projector. Used kindle fire hdx. Picture works fine but no sound from projector speakers. No sound from kindle speakers. Need to use kindle headphone jack for sound.

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
Check the system requirements on the Bluetooth dongle. If your system does not fit all the requirements, the device is not going to work. The requirements for the Bluetooth dongle are printed in the user manual and packaging. You may compare this to what is running on the computer by clicking "Start," "Control Panel" and "System." This displays the hardware running on the computer.
    • 2
Disconnect the Bluetooth dongle, restart the computer, then plug it back into a USB port. If you power on the computer with the dongle already instead, the system may not detect the equipment. Restarting the computer and performing this action helps correct the problem.
    • 3
Remove the Bluetooth dongle from the USB port and plug it into a different connection. Some USB ports fail to detect certain computer hardware. Changing the connection port fixes this.
    • 4
Install the driver on the provided driver installation CD. Without the driver, the computer is unable to detect and use the dongle. Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the computer, then follow the on-screen steps to install the driver onto the system.

Why does the usb connection not reconized?

Have you tried NOT connecting your camera to your computer?
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
As to why your USB connection isn't working, there are a lot of possibilities. You may not have the right driver. If you're going through a USB hub, you might try bypassing it and connecting directly. There could be something wrong with the cable. There could be something wrong with the computer's USB port. There could be something wrong with the camera's USB port.
The main reason camera manufacturers include a USB port on their cameras is not so you can use it to transfer photos. They put it there because other manufacturers put one on, and so the marketing department insists they do so as well.

Cannot Connect My Compaq Presario CQ57 to my Epson Powerlite S4 LCD Projector! Help! Please?

Hi,
The USB port in the projector is only for Optional Mouse to srcroll down the menu of the projector. Its not ment for the Video connectivity. You have to use 15 pin VGA cable to interconnect the PC and the projector then only you will get the video.

Here i have added the link for the user manual of the projector. Check out page number 30 of the manual.

I cannot seem to link up my projector and laptop computer

Assuming that you have all the connections between the laptop and the projector already performed, you should check in you laptop's manual what is the key combination necessary to switch between normal mode and presentation mode.

For instance, some Dell laptops need you to press the function key (key marked with Fn in blue) and, while keeping it pressed, press also the F8 key (marked with CRT/LCD in blue) to cycle between the options.

Some HP laptops will need you to do the same operation, but now using the function key and the F4 key, to select between "Computer only", "Extended (dual) presentation mode" or "Projector only" modes.

If even with these indications you are still not able to make your laptop show its information through the projector, please send us more details on how you connected your laptop to the projector, as well as the brand and model of your laptop.

Hope this information can help you!

you cannot pass a signal through a usb input. USB inputs on a computer are usually used from firmware upgrades or mouse control depending on projector.
