Question about Nikon D40x Digital Camera
I had my Nikon D40x plugged into my computer through the USB output and had my camera turned on to download the pictures to my computer. I left the camera on longer than necessary and now it won't work. I've tried taking out the battery and charing it in my MH23 Quick Charger but it's still not working. Is there any way to fix this problem without buying a new battery?
Hi yesterday I've fixed the problem : )
I've put out the battery for a long time (several days) until it could be recharged again. After that I've recharged it and I've put it in the camera again and WOOOPS ! the camera works again !!.. I'll never plug it again to the computer, I'll use a memory card reader : )
Try it and tell me if it works for you.
Good luck !

There is a reset hole under the cap the covers the USB connector. Use a straightened paper clip to gently press in and it should reset the camera. I hope this works.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
