Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

When I put a DVD-R Disk into my DMR T3040 Digital video Recorder it does not recognise it. It reads and then says there is no disk. When I try to dub it asks for a recordable disk. What can I do?

If the DVD is readable by another DVD player, then it is an issue with the senstivity of alignment of the DMR T3040. The DMRxxx may also have a defect that is causing it to be insensitive.

Try to see if you can get other devices to read the DVD in question. The process of elimination will give you the answer.

DVD recorder continually stuck on a loop trying to read disk.

Hi again

Well done!

I am so pleased to hear that you have restored the DMR E55 and for taking the trouble to let me know. It's always satisfying to achieve something like that and I guess you'll get even more pleasure from using it now than you did before. They are good machines and well worth the effort to keep them going.

Thanks again and kind regards

DVD Ram recorder

Mine, a Panasonic DMR-E80H, didn't like some of the Ram disk either. Either I was trying to erase it or just read it and it would shut it self off and go into recover mode.
So, I pulled the plug overnight. Then, first thing after I plugged it back in was to eject the disk before it tried to read it. Once the disk was out. It stopped going into recover mode.
Good Luck.
