Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

Kitchen Aid KESH307BBL9 with a F2:E5 displayed code

I have replaced the control board (made sure everything is plugged back as they were on original). Most of the keys work fine. However, when I set the oven temp to any temperature, the "Start" key is unresponsive - same goes for the "Cancel" key. What else can be wrong? The keys for the "clock control" work fine.

Clean the ribbion connector off with a pencel eraser a few times and reinsert into the control, if this does not solve the issue then you nedd tor replace the touch pad, which will come with a new ribbon

The code E5 F2 comes up on the control panel ,what dose that mean .

Hello Danny;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

F2-E5 - Cancel Key Line Open - Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure. Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds. If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

You have left the last number off your model number. If it is '0':

25369211-kdkppxbie4yi2ig501kzn0pg-5-0.jpg
PART NUMBER: W10114377 Cost: $241.00

If you elect to replace the control board, make sure when you receive the new board in a anti-static gray bag, ground yourself by rubbing your hands on something that is bare steel. Static electricity will knock out a board.

The price provided is from Sears Direct. You can get the same part on E-bay for $110.00.

Rule of Thumb: "If the cost of repair is 1/3 or greater than the original purchase price, then buy new."

You have a older but nice unit.

My kitchen aid stove keeps displaying F2:E2 - Why? and what does that mean?

That code means that the oven is over heating.
Replacing the temp. sensor should do the trick. The sensor
is the rod that protrudes from the inside back wall of oven.Usually in the top left corner.

I have a Kitchen Aid Slide in Range model KESC300BBL8. When using the oven it keeps shutting off after a short time. F2-E5 will be displayed.

F2-E5 is "Cancel Key Drive Line Open"

Here is the procedure
1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).
Thanks to: http://www.appliancepartspros.com Make sure to have your model number handy.. before calling a repair man or ordering parts.. Hopefully it's a lose connection.. Best of luck!

I also have this problem. Replaced control board, but didn't help.
Display worked fine until control board was replaced. Now display is very hard to operate. It's no sensitive enough to touch. Displays F2:ES (or F2:E5) when cancel is pressed.
