What will i do in a brand new external hdd from freecom with 298 G,when i connect to my laptop dont show any icon, what is wrong with may external hdd?

please try unhide the settings..

Steps are as follows:

Open My computer,
Tools, Folder Options,
Check Show Hidden Files,
Check show system files..
Then check your files from the My computer icon..

The problem would be sometimes once your hard drive being infected by the virus, it will hide your files especially the NOTEPAD.EXE virus. It replicate your original folder and hide it, then it will show a copied folder which is also thesame with your original folder.(ex: the original folder would be PICTURES, then once it infected by the virus, the PICTURES folder will now replaced as NOTEPAD.EXE folder, then the original was been hide)..

Thanks

In My Computer Disk drive E - one of folder using earlier, now iam not find the same folder file. If i create in the same name folder showing the error message contains.... the existing file already...

you just accidentally hide your newly created folder. go to tools it in your upper view. click the folder options. > view > click the show hidden files and folders > and also unchecked the hide protected operating system file (Recommended). after that you will see the folder that you create. im sure virus and trojans are responsible for that.

My pendrive is working, but some folders are not showing the files.I checked in another pc , it is opening in that. what should i do?

I think it could be due to virus activity. Some virus make the contents of the drive hidden, thats why user can't see the files.
It is suggested that go to FOLDER OPTIONS - and select SHOW HIDDEN FILES. It may show the hidden files. Otherwise, from the system you can see your data, copy all the required files/data. Select the required files and righ-click and change the properties of the file by un-checking the hidden attribute. After copying data and ensuring that the data is on hard drive just format pen drive. Also, make sure that you have a good antivirus installed and its updated.

Let me know if any further clarification is required. Hope this helps! Dont forget to rate the solution!!
