You need to allow full acces on whichever port the console is trying to get a connection though.

I have a used ps2 system (its in good condition), i love splinter cell games, i have splinter cell pandora tomorrow. The first time i got it it worked fine, all i just needed was to hook up the internet....

more than likely you need to reset your modem.

turn off the power on your modem. unplug the power wire from your modem and unplug the coaxial wire to your
modem.

wait a minute or so and

first hook up coaxial cable to modem

then plug modem back in try it again and hopefully you will be back on line.

You just have to reset your modem connection.

This has happened to me before too.

If you have a router do the same thing.

If it does not work try the same procedure one more time.

it should work.. Good luck

leave a good rating if you appreciate my help.

Router problems when using xbox live

This sounds like a problem i ran into a few years back with a ps2.

This is not a machine related problem this is a signal strength problem. Most likely you have too much cord in between the router and the X box try shortening that cord as much as possible.

If this doesnt work try calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX

they will run a few tests with you and confirm my diagnosis.

you might be forced to run Xbox lve directly off your modem in an extremem situation or consider upgrading your internet signal or router

System Link

for a direct link to work you need to use a "crossover" lan cable. you can find these by going to your local circuit city or other electronics store. try using the router with the cables from each 360 hooked into lan ports 1 and 2 on the router. try it in the same room if possible. when i had a lan party i had to turn off the wireless radio of my DI-624+ wireless radio to solve the problem of the router dropping the connection.

also, be sure that both 360's network settings are either set to automatic for direct link, or have static IP (192.168.0.56 and 192.168.0.58 for example) and the correct DNS addresses (4.2.2.2 primary/4.2.2.3 secondary for d-link routers). the DNS of your specific router can be found by calling customer support for your router and asking for it.

Need help!!!!!!!!!

There should be a setup disk that came with the network adapter.

Put that in, and it's a simple walk-through.

If you don't have it, then Madden 08 has an automatic connection sequence, just go online with it, and it should do it all for you.

If you have a cable connection (Cable Broadband), then its going to DHCP connection (or automatic) If it's DSL, then you may have a static IP address, and you may want to contact your ISP for further help. You would need to manually assign an IP address to your PS2.

If you have it set up correctly, and its a cable modem you've got, then you may want to reboot everything.

Unplug power to the modem and router and also make sure the PS2 is off.

Plug modem back in, then router, and turn PS2 and try connecting agian.
