You left something in a pocket that melted in the heat and left those spots and lines. You will need to clean the inside of the drum thoroughly. Without knowing the source of the spot and lines, I can't tell you how to remove them without damaging the clothing.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I believe you are probably correct that grease is somehow getting into your dryer drum. In order to find out, you will need to remove the back plate of the dryer and look around with a flashlight for the likely point of entry to the tumbler. I think you will find that there is a faulty seal that is supposed to keep things like grease out of places it doesn't belong and that is definitely not the inside of the drum. When grease gets warm it liquefies and that is how it can ooze past a faulty seal. remove the old seal, clean the area with a strong solvent specifically to remove grease and put in a new seal and you should be good to go for a very long time. Maytag has a good reputation but it may not be made in America any longer. If it is made in the US, it should last you at least thirty years or more. Methylated spirits should remove the grease from your clothing.

Thanks but I tested for spotting by putting one clean white towel in the dryer. After drying, there were spots all over it. I inspected the drum and it seems clean. I can't tell for sure but the spots look like grease.
I whipped the drum with a white cloth and found no grease. There is a chrome grid with holes on the back part of the drum. Could grease or oil be coming through it?
Thanks
Note: I wiped the drum.... I'm not angry enough yet to whip it.
