I have a VQ-5010 and the shutter does not open to take pics it powers on and flashes but I can't take pics with the shutter closed

I have the same problem.

I HAVE A V550 KODAK AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. JUST WONDERING IF IT IS WORTH FIXING.
