Problem getting my ViviCam out of MSDC mode

Hello,

The only options I have is PC Camera and MSDC, so either way I cannot take pictures! When I click playback button it toggles between the two, and very breifly it says "no file exist" before getting stuck in MSDC mode.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

What's your problem?hello how do I get my vivicam vivitar camera out of macro mode it says my card is full but this is not the case. I can't take any pictures can you help

There's a switch on the end of the camera near the USB slot. Slide it away from the flower position to take it out of macro mode.

As for the memory card, what size is it? Have you formatted it?

Vivicam 8025 what does the MSDC screen mean while charging

The MSDC indicates that the camera has recognized it's connected to a computer.

The red light indicates that the camera's battery is charging.

My battery and memory card are in correctly, and it has been "charging for two days, but everytime I turn it on a blue screen that reads MSDC comes on and no matter what buttons I press nothing...

The MSDC simply tells you that the camera is connected to the computer. In order to use the camera to take pictures, you have to disconnect it from the camera.

Just bought new camera it says msdc

The MSDC option in digital cameras stands for Mass Storage Device Class. It is one of the many subclasses of the USB computer peripheral connection protocol.

This class as implemented in digital cameras, allows a connection between a computer and a digital camera by showing the digital camera, when connected to the computer, as a removable disk drive, temporarily attached to the computer. Pictures taken are retrieved using either cut and paste, copy and paste or drag and drop from the digital camera's picture folder onto a real hard drive or other writeable media available in the computer.

In addition, arbitrary data (does not have to be pictures) can be stored in the digital camera's onboard memory to the limit of the memory. The MSDC device class can be implemented by any kind of electronic device which has embedded memory storage in any form such as flash memory, IDE hard drives, etc.

Msdc

i have the same camera and the same problem but i have found out msdc means mass storage device, for the camera to work you have to have a memory card inside it. im getting one tomorrow for mine, so hopefully that should solve the problem :)

Vivitar 8025 comes up msdc when i connect usb lead to my computer

It's supposed to do that, informing you that it's in mass storage mode. Once connected you control it from the computer, not the camera.

Vivitar vivicam 35 digital camera

i recently had the same problem with a vivitar, you dont have to load the disk. windows will recognize it as a mass storage device or removable drive ( ? )= letter of drive.although this camera was slightly newer .i went into the menu in the camera then scrolled to MSDC the computer then recognized this as a mass storage device or removable drive. it then gave me the option to veiw files on the disc, OR you can do as above then go to start. select my computer, and the extra drive will be their. right click on drive select open, right click on dcim, select open and their should be your photos simply copy the photos to my pictures then your all set to do whatever you want. keep, print, whatever.
not sure if this is usefull but its how i got my pics.

regards
