    Thanks Dave
This was the problem. I found out by trial and error during the week. My aint's telly is now working again. I hoped she would get a new telly but she seems happy now that all the channels are retuned.

    Many Thanks

    Declan

If you get an answer for this, please post it, I have just got exactly the same issue, I've swapped my sky boxes around, and need to add the new chanel frequency to the Philips TV, same problem as above.

Solved it.... You need to go into the timer menu and switch off any alarms which are set, (TV,Radio, buzzer), by removing the asterisk. Once that is done press okay to store, then go into the normal menu and select installation and the options which were previously not active should be there to select.

How do I set up Mitsubishi HD 1080 series television to receive digital channels

Hi, it the tv has an integrated digital tuner it is simply a matter of going into the settings menus available from the remote control and electiong autotune, the set should then serach for / intall the chanels and the you will save the search and that is it...done. The set may have the option of eaither digital or analogue reception in which case you should select digital and then search for the tuning options menu in the settings screen.
For people who do not have digital reception, digital channels can be got by obtaining a digibox, a DVB receiver. This would be connected to the tv via a scart lead. On switching the tv and digibix on the box installation guide will take you through the installation procedure. It is all very straightforward

Manual

All service manuals for these are online and only available to authorized service centers.

At your own risk: with set on in cable band: 062597 status will take you directly to convergence tech menu--be careful what you do and if not sure do not go to the menu after and select save.

Panasonic dmr-eh50 Clock setting greyed out - unable to reset clock after clocks went back.

To resolve this issue follow the steps below:

(1) Remove all discs from the unit.
(2) Set the unit to DVD Mode
(3) From the front panel of the unit, open the middle door to display the up and down channel buttons
(4) Press and hold both the up and down channel buttons until the unit displays "BYE" and then flashes "12:00 A"
(5) Release the up and down channel buttons
(6) This will clear the unit and you will be prompted to reset the TV Guide Settings
(7) Setup your TV Guide according to the on screen display
(8) From your remote select "SETUP"
(9) Scroll down to "Setup", right arrow to the options on the right, and down arrow to "Clock Settings"
(10) Select "Set Clock Manually" if your TV Guide Function is not providing you with the proper time

Good luck!!!

In my openion, Its problem of hardware in your TV and signal processing circuits are involved. It might be problem of Firmware (programe to control the performence over all) Philips can advise you better in this regard.

Samsung tv problem

Hi.

You havent listed your TV model but most Samsung sets that are digital will have A button on the remote marked DTV this will tell set to look at the digital chans.
Now try & go in to the menu & select tuning & scan the digital chans in.
One other thing are you in an area of the UK that can pick up digital channels without changing your aerial.

How to reset to mfg settings or how to set red/blue color convergence?

You could try using the first time set-up option and see if that resets it. If you don't have the owners manual it can be found at the following link.

There are detailed instructions on how to set the convergence in the manual on page 8.

Philips 50PP9202 50 in. Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television?

Hello Anthony14,

This is an indication the the red convergence amplifier has goone bad you will need to replace the convergence correction modules. Now before replacing these you may want to make sure that the bias resistors and the zener diodes are ok. The convergence ICs are part number STK329-110 or STK329-150.

I would suggest that you get a schematic and equipment to make the needed tests, or take the set to a shop to replace the bad components.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
