Question about HP vs15 15"LCD Flat Panel Monitor
From what you have told me it sounds like your monitor either has a defect (the power supply, most probably), or your video card is defective. I know that this sounds rather simply but have you tried the connections: I.E. the power cord in to the A.C. socket, the video cable? Also. If you have another monitor or access to one, try plunging it in to your CPU. If she comes up the video card is o.K.
As I mentioned before, the display has probably reached the end of it's life. The expense of buying a new monitor is close to the price of repairing ti so my suggestion is to buy another.
