    This is the procedure:

with the palm or the heel of your hand smack the top of agitator, the
fabric softener cup will release.it doesn't seperate to clean any
further though reccommend soaking in hot water to clean out. reach down
and pull up the opaque cover from the center of agitator and there you
will fond a 7/16 bolt holding the agitator to the tranny shaft. remove
    bolt and PULL up

Also I'll see if there is a service manual available for your model.

    Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution

Remove the fabric softener on top of agitator and plastic insert. Use socket wrench to remove hex bolt and lift top half and then bottom half of agitator which should then expose chain.

A necklace has dropped down under the agitator in my Simpson Espirit 700, how do I get it out. Thanks - ****

Hi just read your posting. Now do you still require help?If you do then pull the middle of the agitator out and shine a torch down the center. You should see a 10 mm bolt.Grab a socket set and turn the bolt anticlockwise to remove it and then lift the agitator out. Please reply on how you got on and for more advice if needed.Looking forward to your reply.

Need help to remove water pump on a kitchen aid washing machine kaws777

Hello Friend, It's easy to replace the pump on your machine. First, remove the two screws that hold control panel in place and tilt back exposing the two metal clips that hold the cabinet in place. You will see some wires plugged into the cabinet, just unplug them. There are two clips, one on each side. Just pop these clips off and lift cabinet slightly from back and tilt forward. At this point you will be able to completely remove the cabinet. Once you have cabinet removed just set it aside. Now, you can easily remove the pump by snapping off the two spring clips. The pump will slide right off the motor shaft. Happy to help, Tim.

Whirlpool washer will not agitate

2d68b82.gif
For a whirlpool kitchen aid, kenmore and inglis. The top section(clothes mover) of the two piece agitator is removed by first pulling off the agitator cap then removing the inner cap. Underneath those there is usually a 7/16? bolt which will need to be unscrewed. Once removed, the top agitator half can usually be pulled straight up to access the agitator kit components.
At this point you can make the repair of the defective parts.
Hope this helped.Let me know by rating me or

Necklace caught under the agitator

In the center of the sgitator, there is a bolt.
Sometimes there is a plug to remove by prying out.
Remove this bolt.... or just loosen it, and the necklace will come free.
See item 2 in the expanded view on the left side.

Necklace stuck in washer

Hold the bottom part of the Agitator,(The part that you are talking about),Undo the very top part in an anti-clockwise direction and it will come right off.Use a wrench to remove the nut on the top of the agitator and then lift it right out,you may need to move it from right to left. You will now be able to remove the necklace.Replace the Agitator the reverse of removal.
