My kodak v803 was dropped and continued to work. But as soon as I turned off the camera and tried to turn it back on the lense didn't open all the way and it tried to turn back off but it also didn't retract all the way. Is there any type of solution to fix this?

Hi there its happens when the lens not ready for work. Some how its not able to stable his focus method. That's why its happens. There is a chances of lens guide pin disturbed or damaged & thats why continues failure. Its mean he inform you there is a system error. So please visit the service center for repair that. Its a very common & repairable problem. Thanks
i had the same problem, if you try to turn the lens in as if you turning a dile, the lens will go back in manually once you have the lens completly in again, as if the camera is switched off, then turn the camera back on at the power button and the camera will operate as normal, this worked for me i hope it works for you too.
I know this question is almost a year old, but thought I'd post a solution for those using Google Search to try and solve this problem. In the "menu" simply scroll to the "AF Control (Video)" option and change "Continuous AF" to "Single AF" and that should solve this issue.
