When trying to logon to my computer the message user profile service failed logon; user profile cannot be loaded

Hi!

This usually means Windows is having a difficult time reading your profile information correctly. You can try a few things to correct this by visiting Microsoft's site below:

You receive The User Profile Service failed the logon error message

Hope this helps!

User Profile Service failed the logon error message

The User Profile Service failed the logon.
User profile cannot be loaded is a message you sometimes get in Vista or Windows 7. Many suggest editing the registry but for novice users that can be dangerous. Here is an alternative solution.
Logon in safe mode.
  • Restart your computer and log into safe mode: As your computer is rebooting, press F8 Repeatedly after your POST screen. If you get the OS screen, you need to start over.
  • Choose safe mode with networking
  • Open internet explorer and copy and paste this site into the address bar:
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-the-user-profile-service-failed-the-logon-user-profile-cannot-be-loaded
  • Click on Microsoft Fixit which is down the page

If this resolves your issue, 4 thumbs would be appreciated.

My laptop keeps displaying the user profile. Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.

Restart your computer press F8 right after the First Boot screen and Select Safe Mode Windows. Delete that User or make a New User Profile. That must fix your problem if your Safe mode is not secured by password, or if it is then consider reinstalling Windows.

Thank for asking Sir !

My computer wont let me on. when I start the computer it saids. The user profile service failed to logon. user profile cannot be loaded.

The registry for that user is corrupted. Log on as the default administrator and create a new account, then transfer all your files and settings to the new one.

I try to login and enter my correct password and it tells me user profile service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded....

Could be the User Account is damaged. Can u click F8 on startup and sign on as administrator? If so, go into control panel and into users and create a new user then restart the computer and sign into this new account.

Then you should be able to go into you C drive and retrieve the documents from the damaged user account.

Let me know if I can be of any more help.

When i turn my computer on it will not allow me to login in. Once I enter my password it tell me that ''the user profile service service failed the logon, user profile cannot be loaded".

reinstall windows.  it may be a virus disabled and destroyed the profile service, so even if you were to boot into safe mode and attempt to access windows services and turn it on and start it automatically, when you rebooted to normal operation, it would still tell you it wasn't working or that it was corrupt.  you can try a repair install and that could possibly get things back to normal, but not remove the virus.  for that, you will need to connect the hard drive to another uninfected computer and run a full scan.

Logon failed

  • You can try doing a System Restore to see if it can fix this before using the instruction in the tutorial below. See the related links below for how.
  • If you do not want to repair the user profile, you can delete it and create a new user account in OPTION TWO. If this still does not work for you, then you will be left with doing a clean install for your Upgrade or Full version of Vista.
