Just get some normal wire laying around and use and old cable hook-up. Just attach them to the cable and wrap them around the cord.
I used to do this and it gets very clear picture.

Does it need a special antenna? I don't have cable or a dish. 3 stations didn't come in so I manually programmed them and still no luck. What to do?

You can buy an indoor antenna or you can mount one on your roof top. Find auto programm in the setup menu of the tv. Select antenna not cable and select auto program. The number of stations will depand on location. You may have to rotate the antenna. If this doesn't get you more than 3 stations you may have a tuner problem and need to replace the main board in the tv.

Do i need a antienna for regular tv. if i do where does it go in the back of tv. help

Yes of course you do. It goes on the RF coaxial jack (the same one that cable TV would connect tto) labeled antenna. Don't let anyone sell you a special expensive "digital antenna" because digital TV uses the same frequencies that UHF has always used and thereby requires the same antenna, or at least the smaller portion of the older antennae.

Do i need a tv tuner to receive an internet tv signal?

No need, you must have only the antenna for internet, like smart broadband to watch online channel all you want to do is look only for the website that has an available online channel. It is also possible to installed a TV tuner to your computer but the antenna you will used is the antenna for TV(coaxial cable). The Antenna for internet and the TV tuner is separated, it is not the same antenna.

Hope this simple information could help you to solve your problem. Mam/Sir don't forget me to rate me up I really appreciate what grade will you given to me. Thanks a lot and God Bless.

You need to go into on screen TV tuner/channel scanning setup page and change the signal source from CABLE to ANTENNA so it will scan again to pick up off the air signals. Please read the TV user manual for more details.

In just bought new Toshiba regza 40" Lcd tv and auto tuned it, but the picture is terible , snowy and colours are not good, what to do...

Hello
First of all reset the TV. for that

press and hold the POWER button
on the TV control panel for 5 or more seconds to reset the TV.
Then connect the TV tt any source like outdoor areiel or cable box etc, select the appropriate input, and retune the TV. First of all, connect it to an external antenna, and set it to autotune.

You must configure the ANT/CABLE input source before

programming channels (-left-hand column).

If the ANT/CABLE input signal type is set to Cable, the

automatic channel programming process erases channels

that were previously programmed into the TV's memory.

If the ANT/CABLE input signal type is set to Antenna, the

automatic channel programming process adds newly found

channels to the existing set of programmed channels (and

does NOT erase channels that were previously

programmed into the TV's memory.) To remove an Antenna

source channel from the memory, you must manually delete

it.

To tune the TV to a channel not programmed in the channel

memory, you must use the Channel Number buttons on the

remote control.

Programming channels when the ANT/CABLE input is

configured for Cable will take substantially longer than when

the antenna input is configured for Antenna. This is normal;

however, once channel programming is finished, you should

not have to repeat the programming process again unless
your Cable TV service lineup changes significantly.
Find out the received channels are clear or not. If they are clear, your TV is perfect, and the input device you connects ot the TV is faulty. OK.

How do I program the tv to use without cable?

Hi,

1.Power on the television and press the "Menu" button on the Olevia TV's remote control.
2 Choose the "Programming" option to view all of the Olevia setup options.
3 Choose the "Channel Program" option, then select either "Antenna" or "Cable" (select "Cable" when using a satellite receiver).
4 Select "Start" and the Oleiva TV scans over all the stations it receives. Once complete, is stores the information into its memory bank, so when you attempt to change the television station you only see programs that come in clear onto the TV.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

The color on our Sony tv is now distorted. The

if this is an older tv and your state might have changed to digital programming then i would suggest trying to look at the back of the set and see if you have anything to fix this problem or you might want to CHECK AND SEE IF YOU HAVE VIDEO ON or CABLE on or TV on. Sometimes if you have Antenna switch to cable then your channels would be red and picture distorted. change the antenna to air for tv. or from tv to cable.
