Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W7 Digital Camera

Blury and flash problems

Is there a way to reset the camera to original settings? It took great pictures when we first got it, and I don't know what has happened, but now all of the pictures are blury, flash goes off twice, doesn't focus properly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Hello Chad,
As you told the condition of the are blurry,This problem is not related to the setting or master reset. This cause is due to malfunctioning of zoom optical motor and sensor who focus the object. Therefore, the solution of it is, You have to change its optical lens assembly.
I often deal these sort of cases in routine in said Model Although it's a very fine camera but dusty and moisturized conditions cause this problem.

Thanks & don't forget to rate.

There is something wrong with my flash screen. It's Black. Everytime I try to take pictures on My Finepix z fujifil blue digital camera the screen goes black, and when I go to see what I took a picture...

Flash screen? What? You mean even in pictures with flash disabled (and the flash does drag down the electronics in the thing; make a replacement using an LED lamp and circuit if you have a chance) it takes no picture and leaves you with a black LCD? Are you indeed using a good battery (they go bad gradually (depending on the case on how many times you fire the flash!)) New battery first!

Bad indoor pictures. When I take indoor pictures and it says to use the flash I do but then my pictures turn out dark/grey. Then I try it without the flash and they are brighter but then blury. I even...

The flash has a range of up to around 10 feet at the wide end of the zoom, down to 6.5 feet at the tele end. Maybe you are using it on to big a distance or at to low ISO? Try setting the ISO to 800 and see if it helps. images get a bit more grainy at 800 ISO but are also less prone to camera shake, if you use it without the flash. The camera goes as high as 1600 ISO, but images get very grainy at that setting.

I have a Canon PowerShot S400 and every once in a while the image gets blury and the colors are off. is there something I can do to fix it?

This is problem with the sensor. See this link. Canon has acknowledged issues with sensors in some model cameras, including the S400. Instructions are provided on the link to have your camera repaired at no cost, regardless of purchase date. If you don't live in the US, contact your regional Canon service agency. This service notice is effective world-wide.

Flash problem

The CCD element has been a great problem in this camera along with a faulty iris in the lens. I would return the camera to the Sony facility in Laredo, TX and let them know the exact symptom you are having. I see many of these cameras being repaired as a "courtesy" because of the widespread problem. Good Luck to you! Joe Weibel Custom Electronics (customelectronics.org)
