Hey there, you are having trouble because of the simple fact that, no matter what your GPU is 256MB VRAM will NOT play full HD(doesn't matter if it says it's supported).
For 720p 512mb is okay but if you want the full 1080p HD experience go with a 1GB + Card
If you want a recommendation go with the GTX 455 1GB.

Have fun :)

Can I use my Dazzle to play a Netflix movie on my TV?

The Dazzle is a TV recorder, it does not output video. There are several ways to do this, you should check on the back of your TV, many modern TVs have VGA or DVI inputs for computers. This is the same port that you can connect a monitor to, basically turning your TV into a big monitor.

You could also use a device like this:

This device will transmit whatever is on your screen to a receiver that hooks up to your TV through HDMI.

If you will tell me what TV model you have, and what your computer is, including what operating system, I can recommend what would be easiest to use.

Having a problem with HIS Radeon HD IceQ 3870 Turbo, graphic card. when I try to play Operation Flashpoint red river, i get graphic bugs, like Borwn Boxes around NPCs and props.

It sounds like you are experiencing artifacts of some kind. These can be caused by many factors: overheating, power issues or the card itself might have some bad memory. If you are not experiencing these issues in any other modern game, it could also be a driver related issue. So first thing is first - determine if you can recreate the issue. I would recommend a GPU stress test (Google OCCU or ATI Tool) and run that for at least 30 minutes to see if you get any other artifacts, or possibly crashes. If you do, there is definitely something wrong.
If you have had this card for some time now and it has always worked, it's highly likely that the card's memory is bad. The only way to know for sure is to test this card in another system, or test another card of equal performance in your current system. If the problem follows the card, then you know it's time to RMA (if you're under warranty) or get a different card.

I have a del optiplex 270 pentium 4 2.8 processor 1 gb ram 80 gb sata hard disk can my gfx 5500 play hd 1080 p movies using cyber link dvd 10

it can play 1080p movies but it wont play them at 1080p as it does not have the ability to output at that format. And 1080p movies even tho it may play them they may be choppy or laggy cause its just to high of a resolution for a agp fx5500 to play. 1080p is a resolution not a format and it would have to be outputted to a 1080p compatible screen or tv. I think the highest it can do even hooked up to dvi is 480p. But i cant confirm this with the information on nvidias website as this card was made a little before they started doing hi def resolutions. If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the solution. thanks and have a great day.

When I try and play any video at 1080p I get stuttering video and audio that is out of sync. I've got a little program that renders the video and reports what codecs were used and for some reason it plays...

If the video is MKV, I had the same problem. remove Klite, and install CCCP. I did and it was smooth.

also with HiDef content being huge on the hard drive, and windows being very lazy, after you have a hidef on your hard drive, do a defrag on your hard drive so it plays the film from the same area of the HDD so the PC isn't working as hard. keep in mind 1080p can be 24Mb a second, and usually the HDD only has 16mb cache, so the smoother you can make things the better.

Hope this helps?

No signal on HDTV

Your graphics card is probably too old to support HDTV signal (720p, 1080p)
