Himy digi cam got wet in water. Now it's not working. What should I do right now.

If it is, as you say, brand new, return it to vendor under warranty

Let it dry completely.. Take out battery, do not turn on until dry. If wet with fresh water, should still work if not shorted out already. Salt water is much worse. Put it somewhere dry for about a week before trying again.

1st You download Webcam Driver.

After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

when you say cable you mean the usb cable right? I ask cause no data is transfered through the dvi or vga cables.

switch off your digi cam !!!! connect the digi cam via dta cable to the PC !!! now switch on the cam !!! keep your digi cam in display picture mode !!! now u can use your digi cam like a pen drive

Have you installed the driver for your digi cam? usually you need to install a driver for it to work on your system.

check your digi cam's manufacturers website for downloadable drivers and install it in your laptop.

Yes. It probably shorts in the wiring in the hinged area.

If there was any shorting and or corrosion in the circuits caused by the water, the affected circuit boards and parts will have to be changed to service the camera.

Try taking it apart, and letting the pieces dry oput, or take it to a reputable camera shop, and see if the can replace one of the boards that might have short circuited, otherwise it looks like you need a new camera :( Sorry.
