Power goes to system, but will not turn on with remote or button

I know the poser goes to the machine as the on/off switch goes red. But I can not move on from there. Will not turn on by either the button or with the remote. So basically cant use it.
This happened when I turned it off with the remote. a dvd was playing at the time.
Thanks

No I have tried that many times. I also tried holding on/off button, eject and stop and no joy.

When I plug in all I get is the red light on the on/off switch. nothing else lights up.

  • marrowdonna Apr 12, 2008

The standby indicator does not flash. The on/off switch is solid red when I plug it in. It does not flash.

I can do nothing with the machine.

I have disconnected the speaker wires and all other input / outputs, so the machine is basically stand alone. Only power plug in wall.

  • marrowdonna Apr 12, 2008

I have opened it, checked connections, shaken it. Sam still. Plug in solid red light on/off switch. No response from remote or pressing any other buttons

  • marrowdonna Apr 13, 2008

Still does not work. I am giving up soon and heading to bet buy

  • marrowdonna Apr 14, 2008

no one has been able to help. The on/off button just stays red and nothing else happens.

Are you sure that the connections aren't lose?

It is possible that possibly something on the inside is loose that runs to the control board or on the control board. Maybe try a slight shake of the system to see if a loose wire or piece of metal reconnects.

Please update me on this situation

Thanksy

it would seem there is a hardware side problem, if you cant get it power on no mater what then im quite sure there is a hardware fault witch would require repairs, if you still have warranty contact your dealer.

if you dont have warranty you can still try contacting your dealer or a local professional.

  • Ekse Apr 12, 2008

Il check with sony about this problem, and get back to you soon.

  • Ekse Apr 12, 2008

    If the STANDBY inficator flashes

immediately unplug the power cord and check the following items:

1 are the + and - speaker cords short circuiteD?

2 are you useing only the specified speakers

3 is anything blocking the ventilation holes on the top of the system?

After checking the above items and fixing any problems, connecct the power cord again and turn on the system, if the indicator still flashes or if the cause of the problem cannot be found even after checking all the above items consult your nearest sony dealer.

  • Ekse Apr 12, 2008

    Id suggest you contact sony.

  • Ekse Apr 14, 2008

if you still have warranty get the device replaced or repaired.

thanks. if you need more help let me know.

Turn off the box at the power point, remove the battery from the remote, switch on the box at the power point, refit battery to remote, all should be reset.

We have a ceiling fan Apollo 52' Model 355-6788 but we don't have any instructions on how to put it up. Please send us instructions on how to do this.

On the remote part that goes inside the fan, it has five wire on it. One Red wire marked L goes to black switch wire from switch or Hot wire. Other Red wire goes to Net. wire from switch.or feed. Then you have A black, a blue & a white. They connect to wires from the fan. When finished connect turn light switch on, leave on & used remote control. Top left button controls the fan on/off. bottom left button controls light on/off.dimmer. There you go, all the know how to connect remote & fan/light up. Good Lucky.
P.S. You will need to buy a 9v battery for the remote, it doesn't come with it

Child lock is stuck on and machine won't start

Does this help?

If you wish to prevent small children or pets
from climbing into the machine, you can
deactivate the automatic door opening
function.
1. Turn off the machine using the main power
switch.
2. Press the Door Open button while
simultaneously pressing the main power
switch. Release the buttons.
3. Press the Key button and the red field goes
out. Automatic door opening is now
deactivated.
4. Press the Start/Stop button to save the
setting.
If you want to reactivate the function, follow
the instructions above, but when you press
the Key button (point 3) the red fields light up.
Store the setting by pressing the Start/Stop
button.

Do let us know if it does

Split system air con LG model LST 2434C-2 unit won't turn on, remote is working but unit won't respond, turned on at wall.

Check there will be red icon when power is on,before switch on by emote. If no red light, there is no power goes into indoor unit. Check. If red light is there and no response with remote, communication error between remote and PCB in indoor. Try with other same type remote. If yes, replace battery or replace your remote. If no, receiving sensor in PCB problem. Repair or replace it.

I have playstation 3 model # CECHH01, a game is inside, when i power on the light goes green, then quickly goes blue then yellow and goes back to red and powers off leaving the red light blinking. What do...

well sounds like your PS3 needs to be reflowed or reballed. I would highly recomend you have a professional do the repair. as fas as having a game stuck inside the machine you can get it out in under 10 seconds by doing this.<br /> <br /> 1) turn off power switch in back of ps3<br /> 2) place finger on eject button and hold there while ps3 is off ( no red light) <br /> 3) while holding finger on the eject button turn power switch on the back of ps3 on , hold finger on eject button untill the disk ejects.<br /> 4) turn power switch off and have unit repaired or replaced. <br /> <br /> if unit is covered by warranty and you send it to sony you must get your disk out of the system as you will NOT get it back if you send it to sony. Most reputable repair shops will return your disk with the system or give it to you before they take the system in for repairs. I ALWAYS give the game disks back before a customer leaves my shop as it leaves me with less to keep track of.

Ps3 wont eject just turns itself off

Try booting the system while holding the power on button. Hold the button and keep it held until it turns off. After the system shuts off, try turning it on normally. Let me know if this helps.

Nintendo DS won't power-up

It sounds like a faulty battery. As it is under 1 year old, it is still under warranty. Return it to the origional place of purcase, who will either fix or replace it.
