Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
since the keyboard on the UK Dell D600 Latitude of my daughter was broken, I bought a new one on eBay.co.uk and put it in.
However, I got a US version (my fault), which is OK except that I don't know how to get and put in a US keyboard driver. Would you be able to give me pointers?
It depends on which operating system you use. In the old days of DOS, you probably would have written "keyb us" in your config.sys file. As a Windows (XP, but 2k is similar here) user you would just have to add an US Keyboard layout to your locale settings in the control panel, and set it as default. As a Linux user, you would most likely use your configuration utility of choice, depending on the your distribution (for example, YaST on (Open)SuSE).
But, if you haven't returned the keyboard for another version, keep in mind that you could as well keep your settings and use a set of stickers to re-label your keys. Those are sold by various laptop dealers, or on eBay.

Did it work if i did not work you may need to take it back to the shop where your daughter got it from only if you know the place where she got it from or throw it away and get a new one for more info email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
