Here are Genkihouse Sling instructions - I tried to attach scanned copies of the instructions, however it exceeded the file size limit:
For front use
Hold your baby close to your chest
Still holding baby close to your chest, grab sling and place over baby - Genkihouse logo facing away from you, arrange baby's legs through leg openings. Alternatively, you can lay the sling on a change table with logo facing down, lie baby on top and put legs through leg holes then lift the baby and the sling onto your chest.
Still holding baby close to you, place sling straps over your shoulders.
Reach behind with one arm (still holding baby with the other) and firmly take the strap from behind opposite shoulder. Your other arm still holds the baby and sling.
Thread the strap through D ring with one hand whilst your other hand still holds the baby.
Simply 'hook' the strap through the D ring with your index finger.
Do not change hands at this stage.
Tension strap backwards - away from your back and don't let go.
Feel the baby's weight now firmly supported by the sling at your waistline.
As you continue to hold the same strap reach behind with the other hand and thread the second strap through its D-ring. The straps should criss cross over your back.
Bring straps together, adjust tension to suit and tie a secure knot in the middle of your back.
Check the position of the baby - you should be able to kiss his/her head.
Baby can also face outwards when he/she gets older.
Hello, the slings that were used in those days were rather crudely made weapons. The sling itsself was usually eye shaped to hold the rocks that were being thrown, it was made of leather. The two chord on each side were made of twisted leather aproximately three feet long. You need to make two holes at each end of the sling. you fold one corner over to meet the opposing hole and you then tie the first piece of leather thong to it. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side and you have a working slingshot sling. I hope this helps.
go to your local reatail store and find the same item that you have or the same brand, and ask the store if you could get a copy of the manual, and they will be able to get that for you. or you can call the company and get the manual for the item that you have
First put all the clips together and pull the whole thing over head till you get the hang of which straps go where. Than sit down on the a couch or a bed NO CHAIRS. Now you place your baby inside make sure the straps are loose I unclip one side or just the top once the baby is in and you secure the straps and clips and all of yours a set. Make sure the pastic peice in back is between your shoulder blades or you will have a lot of pain in your lower back. Now you stand slowly making sure nothing is sliding out or the baby is falling once all straps are secure and your comfortable with the placing you are ready to go.
