On XP you can try this: Boot computer and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice when you See Windows welcome screen / login screen. It'll show classic login box. Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in username field and leave password field blank, press Enter and you should be able to login Windows. Now you can reset your account password from "Control Panel -> User Accounts".
If it's a home access pc you could try: 'cometpar' or 'Misco'. Another one I've come across is 'welcome'. You could also try resetting the password in safe mode. Hit F8 repeatedly on start up. When screen comes up choose safe mode. If prompted to log in enter 'Administrator' in user field and leave password blank. Go to start>control panel>user accounts and safety>user accounts. You can make changes to the account from here.
See if it stop before loading welcome screen, try to boot safe mode by pressing F8, try all safe mode options. if the booting stop or hang before or after welcome or logging screen, try the vga mode on safe mode list.
well i would suggest u to first hard wire the internet connection and shut the system completly by holding the power button for 10sec and than press the power button and keep tapping f8 till u see the advance options and select the one that says safe mode with networking and hit enter ... login to the admin account if available or just loggin to ur account and go to the website gur.in than in to the download section and download the antimalware and run it if there is any infection it will remove it and than download the combofix and run that too and system will restart on its on and go in to the normal mode once these two steps are done u will be able to loggin to the normal mode go to the same website ... gur.in and download superantispyware and install it for protection from spywares and in case if u have a windows genuine copy dont install superantispyware instead go to http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ and download it u will not need any other antispyware or anti virus with microsoft windows genuine copy this is totally free and a good protection too
Try this, open the other account. Go into control panel, User Accounts, then you should see all of the accounts. You can't change or delete the password on the account you are talking about because you have to know the other password to do it..you'll have to delete the account or rename it if possible. If none of that can be done then I'll give you a website that you can download a windows password recovery program.
