Hello! HTC I-mate jamin does not respond to tapping to touch screen, hard reset doesn't help... No cracks or scratches on the screen, phone still working Q1 is it "dead end" for the phone? Q2 How hard is to replace screen by my self? Thanks...

Performing a factory reset using hardware buttons
If you can't turn HTC One V on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC One V.
1. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
2. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

will remove any applications you've downloaded and installed. Be sure to back up

HTC One V not responding?
If HTC One V frozen and does not respond when you touch the screen or press the buttons, you can still restart it by press and hold the POWER button for at least 10 seconds, and then release it. HTC One V then restarts.

for window phones
1. Press the "Home" key and press "Start." Use the directional pad to highlight "Settings," then press the center or "Enter" button.
2. Use the directional pad to select the System tab. Select "Screen," then press the center or "Enter" button. Select "Align Screen."
3. Using your smartphone's stylus, tap the crosshairs as they appear on your screen. Do this for as many as appear, until the calibration tool finishes. Your screen is now properly calibrated.
for Android phone
4. Press the "Home" button or capacitive area, then press "Menu." Tap "Settings."
5. Tap "Language and keyboard." Tap "Keyboard settings." Tap "Tutorial" and go through the steps that appear on your screen.
6. Once this is finished, turn your phone off and on again. Your keyboard has been adjusted, which activates a re-calibration of the capacitive touchscreen. (Capacitive screens are technically far more accurate that resistive, and so a full calibration tool is not included with Android phones.)

Try mDesktop for remote control from your PC to unlock the phone.

The touch pad is dead...it's a hardware issue...go to the vendor or workshop...within a year it is replaced for free.Good luck.

get some fresh once from your garden (or park) if you don't have a garden

Replace ants with fresh live ones
Close phone (quickly or ants excape)

power on phone

Never do hard reset on phone
It will electrocute some ants

Tap the screen at target for some moment of time again & again until align screen don't go. After disappearing this time & date setting option will come.set these.after that windows installation will be started.It takes few minute.during installation don't press any key.after this phone will be started.

Have you aligned the screen?Go to settings,click screen folder and tap align screen.

This is a common problem with many touch screen phones. There are about three reasons this can happen that I know of:

1. Hardware issue. Needs to go in for repair. Hopefully under warranty still.

2. Needs to be re-flashed with the OEM ROM. This is not likely, since you've already Hard Reset, but worth a try.

3. The EASIEST and FIRST thing to check is to run a 'business card' around the edge of the screen between the case and screen. Dirt or other objects can easily get wedged into that area and hold the screen pressed down. This would prevent a press from any other area of the screen. Also, a screen protector that has shifted might cause this. Hopefully this is it, as it's a simple fix!

Do a soft reset,if that doesnt work you"l need to replace the screen!!

I have had the same problem with my jamin and most of times soft resetting it via the button at bottom solves it. If it happens regularly, you might want to hard reset it. please make sure you backup your data and settings etc
