I have tiny blue dots on my tv screeb & at the bottom of screen is like a shallow blue.i own a sony kdf-42we655 i had it for around 5 years. Help

This blue dots problem is due to defective blue lcd and related uv filters/ polarizers in optic block (light engine) and optic block will be replace to fis that issue.
It would be costly fix and an experienced tech is needed to do the job. You can expect $1000 repair cost.

it is the light engine you can check with sony they may replace it under warranty if the set is less than 5 years old

I had this exact same issue with mine. Started noticing the "blue cloud" on the bottom portion of the screen.

Please follow this link and the instructions listed. I opted for an "upgrade" that was offered (brand new 46" bravia lcd) but sony had also offered to fix my tv for free.

thats usually attributed to the light engine or the lens being defective. You may want to check with sony as I think there may be the possibility that they had an issue with certain models being eligible for a free repair on certain models. Check with sony support.
