Hi there, you could take the back off(after first removing the power plug from the socket). Then check the power supply for a blown fuse. Any more investigation into the malfunction of switch mode power supplies as used in TV require expert attention and should be referred to qualified personal. But do check for a fuse out first :)

regards
Graeme

OK... that means that the mainboard of the tv is damaged. The cost of a new mainboard will be around 500$+Labor(around 200$). If you are familiar with electronics i can provide you with a schematic if you can provide me the brand and model number of the television..

Did you check out your power card.
Just remove the power cable from socket
put it again and try out.

Hp procurve 2510g-48 switch keeps freezing up after power outage

Sounds like the power outage was caused by a power surge. That could have damaged the switch, hence the reason for the freezing. I would look to getting it replaced.

My tv clicks to come on but no sound no picture

If there was a power outage the problem is likely in the power supply.

The power light on the front comes on or not?

If no power light unplug the set and follow power cord inside and check the fuses---the click is a power relay activating---set may have up to 3 black relays on the power board.

Let me know your skill level and I will be happy to help.

We have a rear projection tv that has no sound or picture after a power outage??

Suggest unplugging for 15-30 min to allow capacitors inside to discharge and reset and systems from the outage. Then plug in and see. It could be the power supply or a burned out bulb from the quick pulse of loss of power also.

It powers up but no picture? In my experience with Hitachi TV's this has been an issue with the convergence IC's failing. You will need to have a technician replace those if needed.

No picture no sound

You will need to trouble shoot the various power supplies most likely something minor in either the stand by or start up circuits. I recommend that you get a service manual at the following link as they will email it to you and also help you diagnose it with free tech support. Here is the link.

Tv dont come on

Sounds like the typical power surge created by the outage has caused a power supply problem inside your TV. IF that is it, there not much you can do yourself.
