my inbuilt power supply of "VPL -ES3"is not working due to high power flutuation that cause the 6-standing pins ic in the output session to burst off completely that its value can't be regconized.I really want to have that value that could replace. Also, is it the lamp that has a short which blew off this IC?

like back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Check the tv power supply board. That the board where the tv power A/c plug into it.Check the tv power supply board carefully for dying components parts that are called capacitors parts.Bad or dying capacitors parts on the tv power supply board are alway causes this problems to the tv.Bad or dying capacitors parts are very easily to spots, all these capacitors parts are alway bulges up onto it tops.Never have plats round tops as they suppose too.U have all the tools and know basic electronic also can do basic soldering work,u should changes all these dying capacitors parts in the tv power supply board with no problems at all.If u check all over the tv power supply board and it have no dying and leaking capacitors parts to the tv power supply board all. Then the tv Y-Sustain main logic Tuner board it is the causes and the problems. The tv Y-Sustain main logic Tuner signal board that is the board that take in the tv imcomming tv broadcasting signal cable plug into it.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv power supply board and or the tv Y-Sustain main logic Tuner signal board for the replacement.

Optoma rd65tv will not turn on

Hello,

The issue you describe is consistent with a power supply board issue. This is the board where the AC goes to. This problem may have occurred as a result of irregular power supply, or excess power supply or power surge.

The TV is receiving current but cannot circulate or transfer the current to other necessary part of the TV because of the defective power supply board.

I do not think it needs replacement, rather some defective capacitors are causing this issue.
Open unit up and take a look at the power supply board. You will probably see one or more electrolytic filter capacitors that are bulged up in the top-not perfectly flat like the others.

The value of these capacitors will be different, most likely they will be somewhere around-820 to 2200uF/25 V( or /10V sometimes)

You can replace them with same values but I would recommend the voltage rating to be higher(like 35V for an original 25V) for reliability purposes.

What happens is,these bulged top capacitors will cause a low and unfiltered DC voltage=main board will malfunction(the relay will keep clicking until the caps are holding enough charge to bring the voltage up over a threshold point).

You can buy these capacitors at any Fry's or Radioshack store or you can order them online at vendors like "mcmelectronics.com"(look for electrolytic capacitors).
After replacing these capacitor(capacitors) most likely the normal operation will be restored.

Note: There may be also some other causes for this symptom ,like a defective T con board ,or main board, but the bulged top capacitors are the most common cause for this issue.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you. Also, note that TV stores a lot of current, so wait a while before opening the TV back cover.

I hope this helps.

Good luck....

Optoma Projector power LED is blinking green, funs are not working, lamp not function, how can i solve this problem

i'd say power supply issue, but the led is blinking green. this means that it thinks it's in warmup/standby mode. but if nothing's running, the main board might be bad and needs to be replaced.

On my optoma H77 I am replacing a burnt out bulb with a New one. The ''TEMP'' light blinks immediatly without the projector getting up to normal opporating temp. Is there a ''Reset'' button ?

clean out the projector with canned air to get rid of the dust that could be causing it to overheat. also make sure the fans are spinning. if it still blinks, replace the temp sensor. if it overheats alot, the sensor will wear out from excessive heat.

Hi SoonerJDP

This is indeed a warning that the hours on the lamp has been used up and that you will have to replace the lamp.

Remember to reset the lamp timer once you've replaced the lamp.
