Seems 2008 Trend Micro has all the protection..
The features of it say that it has antivirus, firewall, anti spyware and all of it..
So you don really have to worry abt having another seperate anti virus or antispyware.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Can not complete installation of my anti virus

Press crl alt & del chose open the Task manager you can see what processes are running and right click and turn off many of them some are protected and will not let you. Try to install the program again, if it fails, try to use the uninstall tool
restart your computer, search for any folders left over and manually delete them. Run the UN installer again and restart. Try to install the program again.
If this does not work and you are trying to install from a CD go to the website and download the latest version of your program (this just happened to me with Norton from CD.

I want to get Quick Heal Total Security 2011. But I want some suggestions...can anyone review it?

I do not recommend it. Personally I would go for kasperky. They tend to be up to date with their definitions, and they wont hog up your system memory.

I'm running Kaspersky Internet Security and i couldn't be any happier

I tryed to put Norton security on my new Toshiba Mar. 23 2010 Went through the hold thing even gave my credit card info.Got a e-mail Cogratulation me with all the correct info. I made a phone call later...

I could never recommend Norton. It's bloated, inefficient and tries to take control of your computer away from you.

Save yourself some frustration and try something else.

Windows' built-in firewall isn't bad--especially in Windows 7. Comodo firewall with antivirus--free version-- is efficient, but needs a lot of manual permissions.

I've been using Aviva anti-virus--free version--for years and am quite happy with it.

Round things off with Spybot.

You can have these programs up and running in no time, without cost.

You can remove the awful Norton things in Control panel> add/remove programs.

Good Luck!

How do i get the security tool screen to quit coming up. and over riding programs that says i have viruses, and wants to sell me protection

The programs coming up that say you have viruses and want to sell you protection sound like the real problem here. Sounds like you have some spyware that is disguised as something like WinAntiVirus 2009, or AntiSpyware 2009, etc. These will constantly seem to scan and report multitude of false infections trying to get you to buy them. The real problem is the program itself, it is the spyware. I would start by going here first to check: also has good antispyware checks.

The best way to remove virus from your computer is :-

Step 1. Download free version of Malewarebytes from

Step 2 . Install it and update it from update tag >> check for updates.

Step 3. After that go to tag scanner and perform full scan.

Step 4. When scan complete click on show result and then click on remove selected.

Step 5. After removal it will ask you to restart your computer. Restart once.

There are other solutions out there and in my humble opinion work far better. Best of all, These are free to use!
Ounce of Prevention is worth a pound of cure:
Spybot search and Destroy (spyware remover)
Comodo firewall (excellent and easy to setup)
ZoneAlarm Firewall (One of the best but not for the novice)
(Basically anything but the windows firewall)
Tip: Only run one firewall!!!!

AVG Free virus protection
NOD32 Virus protection (excellent but not free) 30 day trial however.
HiJackThis (Be careful with this one.)
IObit360 (Highly recommended and fast!)

Remember: Only run one firewall and one Virus program at a time.
Running more only slows your machine down to the point of un-usable.

Good luck!
