Won't turn on S710a

My two friends... well not anymore... dropped my phone at school and now it won't turn on. Sometimes when I hold down the power button it will vibrate once and the keypad and low battery lights will show up, but the phone won't function. Also, when I plug it into the charger, (sometimes nothing will happen but - ) the charging light on the side of the phone will turn on but the second I press the power button - to turn it on - it stops charging and still doesn't turn on.

Please help me... my life is on this phone.

I accidentally slept with my phone in my pocket for a few hours on my buddys couch and when I woke up my phone was off! Tried turning it back on but it wouldn't, went home and started charging it and the same thing happened. The charging indicator light turns but when I got to turn the phone on it turns off. I thought it could possibly be my battery since the phone was turning off by itself sometimes, so I ordered a new one and I just tried it-The new batter wont even trigger the charging indicator light. I didnt back up my numbers so, if anybody has an idea to fix it, please let us know.

No power s710a

First off, is it showing any source of power? If no lights are turning on, check to make sure the battery has a good connection to the pins. Most likely it is a pinched wire inside the case. You will have to reopen the case and move the wires around to make sure they are no longer pinched. Unfortunately, you may have damaged circuitry. If you attempted to power on the phone before rice drying it, then most likely you did, and thats why it will not power on. I suggest rice drying it, after about two days, place the device on a charger. If the red light does not come on after a few hours of charging, the phone is dead, sorry.

Signal problem

It could be a number of things causing this. The network is failing, the phone is behind a metal screen/grid. The contact between one half of the phone and the other is damaged.

Unlocking S710a gsm phone

You need the USB Dock, not the DCU cable, the cable won't work with what you need, Then go to the support section of Sony Ericsson and upgrade the phone (new firmware) that should unlock it. .

How to retrieve battery

Turn the phone over so that you read Sony Ericsson properly on the back cover. Place your thumb on it and slide left. Now press on the bottom corner of the battery nearest the camera. This should cause the battery to tilt up and you can easily pull it out, otherwise there is something wrong with your phone.

Screen broken

Did you attempt a hard shut down, meaning you hold the power button down till it turns off. To me it sounds like you damaged the LCD internally, I would suggest turning it off, charging it overnight, and then attempting to turn it on. It could be several problems I know mine did that when I water damaged it but I riced it and its fine now.

S710a problems

I am having the same problem - it won't hold a charge. Red light shows it is charging, but nothing. It may be the battery. I just called S.E. and they said it may be the battery. I ended up getting a new phone since batteries cost almost as much as a new phone.
