Driver installation i installed windows 7 on HP compaq 5100 mt Microtower computer but it is not installing the graphic card. The error is ''OS doesn't support''. I installed the same driver on windows xp and it worked. i found those 2 dirver after 5 hours
here are the graphic an audio drivers. Audio have a install program. But with
te video you haver to select update driver in the device manager and select the
directory with the drivers. good look

Since windows 7 has a large database of drivers built-in, most of the devices on the motherboard may have found compatible drivers in the Win 7 Driver Database, with the exception the on-board graphics.

The best option is to upgrade to a dedicated Windows 7 compatible PCI Express graphics card, which you can easily install to bypass the on-board graphics.

A dedicated graphics card will also free up system memory previously borrowed by the on-board graphics.

Why dont you think it is the right driver?
It must be the right driver for the OS that was installed on the laptop when it was new.
Are you trying to install this driver under windows Vista or 7?

It states on Intels support site that there are no drivers for your graphics chipset after XP

Go here to HP support and download the drivers you need, they are Vista drivers so should work on Win7 >>>>>

I found AC'97 as the sound driver for OS of WinXP pro. Try this driver......................sodeep

When you re-insalled Windows XP, Windows didn't install the graphics driver because it didn't have a driver for your graphics card and it installed a generic VGA driver instead. You can check this by going into the Control Panel - Display etc.
Download the video driver and install it to fix your display problem.

You need to download the video driver from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require.
