random code search goes trough every code, so that must mean the universal remote probably doesn't support it

Do a code search procedure. 0101 0195. Try these codes too. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device, in its search box. It will help you to find the document easily.

Universal remotes are hardly universal.

Google the model number of the remote and also the set to locate possible codes----also most remotes have a search mode where you can try each and every code in the remote (most have about 50 possible codes) to see if any will work for the set.

An original remote is always the best choice.

What brand of universal remote do you have?
Each brand of universal remote can have different codes for the same tv.
It's easiest to go to the UNIVERSAL REMOTE's manufacturer website and download the user manual for that model. It will have all the codes listed in there.
