SOURCE: cursor runs all over the screen w/o moving hp wireless mouse

Hi there.
There's nothing wrong with the mouse as this can be a common happening, it's really the sensitivity of the mouse's optical lens.
Any kind of vibrations or air movement like anyone walking past or traffic for example can cause the mouse to move and the LED to blink like it's being moved, it's not a cause for concern.
I have a mouse that does that myself!!!!

Thanks for choosing FixYa!!

SOURCE: My mouse cursor will not

Hello, hope this isn't a silly suggestion, but have you pressed the 'connect' buttons on the mouse and receiver so that the 2 devices can synchronize?
Regards,

Unlock toshiba laptop

Some toshiba laptops have trouble with the touchpad locking up. I have tried using a wireless mouse and it has helped whenever the touchpad locks up. to unlock (I'm assuming you mean log in) you can click space instead of using the mouse.

How do I update my wireless mouse?

try updating the mouse drivers. Go to the Verbatim manufacturer website, search your model of mouse and download the latest driver. To update drivers on windows go Control panel>device manager>mice/input device then right click your mouse and update driver software. If the mouse continues to play up even though it works on other computers then the mouse is probably incompatible with your operating system.

The cursor will not move and I cannot use the laptop at all.

The cursur moves from the sensory pad, if the pad went out the cursur will not move.. I would start by installing an external wireless mouse or even a basic plug in mouse to the usb port and see if you can cntrol the cursor then. Cheap wireless mouses with a small included usb donggle can be used in place of the sensory pad cursor

How do I connect a microsoft wireless moblie mouse 3000 to my laptop?

Press the button on the back of the mouse to free the battery cover on top.

Remove the battery cover and put the supplied AA battery into the mouse.

Replace the battery cover.

Insert the wireless USB dongle into a USB port on the laptop or desktop computer.

Move the mouse and watch your computer screen.

Confirm that the mouse is connected by making the cursor move.

Hope this helps

My wireless mouse - cursor refuses to follow sometimes!

Try cleaning the lazer on bottom with a q tip with some rubbing alcohol on it. Check to make sure the reciever for the mouse isn't too close to any wireless router, phone,or microwave. In the control panel there are mouse settings you can play with too to see if that makes a difference. Re-install any software for the mouse.

Dell Lattiude D600 cursor locked in middle of screen - even after we turn on and off - no way to do anything because cursor won't move - not even little blue mouse in the middle of the screen

Try booting up after installing an external USB mouse. This may give you a mouse to install new keyboard drivers.
If the problem is the keyboard/tracking pad, (hardware) installing another keyboard may eliminate the issue.

Cursor runs all over the screen w/o moving hp wireless mouse

Your mouse could be defective, but let's try a few things first. Try to remove any wireless devices close to it (i.e. wireless router)or try to plug it in a new USB port. Last thing try to use a very dark mousepad. The laser respond to reflection so any white on a mousepad combined with some sun light could result in a free for all mouse pointer.

Have you tried going into the control panel - mouse - pointer options - motion speed (slower) and experiment with pointer precision check box? Try it, see what that gets ya.

Cursor not moving on screen

When you plug in the mouse you need windows to pop up and say found new hardware, and it will install a generic driver. I would shut down and restart and then plug it in again, if this does not work try installing the driver from disk that came with mouse, unplug mouse, install, plug it back in and try it.
Hope it works for you.
