You can try to fix it yourself by replacing the convergence board.
check this link to find the entire convergence assembly.
After replacing the assembly you might need to do a manual adjustment.
I can fix that board for you for half the price.
Good Luck and let me know if you need further assistance.

Your convergence ICs or convergence board is bad. More than likely it is the convergence ICs. About a $100 fix from a reputable repair shop. Hope this helps. If you need more info let me know.

Lamp out - 2nd time in Five years

umm this is very common with progresive scan hd tvs with the lamp. i had a panasonic 52' for 6 years and mines just never turned on. i figured it ws da lamo but we also got fixed before and since these tvs are outdated i suggest u throw it out and sont sell it or fix it its not worth fixing. i suggest you buy a flat screeen lcd because thats all they sell and lcd is better than plasma. they last longer and fixing that JVC you have will cost $$$$ because of labor, bulb replacement and tax.

More than likely you need to replace your IC's on your convergence board. Im not entirely sure on this model, but it's probably STK392-110. There are a lot of people that recommend that you replace them with STK392-150 to ensure a longer life.
