This is not a solution, but perhaps this can help. I had the same problem, but when I plugged the USB cable in, and then unplugged the cable, the camera magically worked. The lens has gotten stuck several times and each time this seemed to fix it. I can only assume it is an electrical/logical problem and not a physical problem.

D90 wont shoot in auto mode. gives me r21 error. Manual mode works fine

Did you switch the Focus-mode selector to MF?
It is the switch with number 8. Perhaps you are used to switching on the lens, but on the body is also a switch. Normaly used for the older AF lenses.

The lense is in the open position and will not turn on or off.

kodak is known for lense isues. Dirt gets loged in the lense real easily.. just try and get it out. blow in the lense... tap it upside down gently... wiggle it around gently.. it worked for mine. I thought i was going to have to get a new camera but i tried all these things and then it turned on. also.. if it wont turn off remove the battery

My lense wont open after a fall i want to replace the entire lense module when can i get it

1.) GO to the place where you purchased your Fuji FinePix. They will probably sell you a new lense (or camera). I dought that they wont.
2) if that doesnt work, then you can go to a repair shop and get it fixed.

My Nikon D60 wont auto focus on any of my lenses. Could it be a problem with the body?

The d60 needs Auto focus lenses(Ones with motors inside the lense) it doesn`t autofocus on other lenses. this was done to reduce the price of the camera body

Hope this helps

I dropped my camera and now when turning camera on the shutter comes out for about 2 seconds then it beeps and then it goes back in, I can view photos but not take any.

The most of cases problems is your camera lense wont come out properly. it's appear to be a electronic problem but it's defenetly a mechanical problem. do do as i say. turn on your camera and after lense came out quickly remove the battery. after that camera lense move out shake it well. shake your camera well. your target should be remove if ther any blocking thing the way your camera lense come out. if this way wont work you have to open your camera and check your mechanism. some time it can be broken lense.

When i turn on the camera the lens wont pop open even when the battery is fully charged.... i was taking pictures and it working fine turn the camera off and on again then the lens wont open anymore? i can...

The problem is
1- some dirt somehow got on the outside of the lense. After it was retracted fully in, it prevents the camera from opening again. When you turn it on, if it opens a little bit, try to pull it out NOT too hard and let go a few times. If it opened, clear the outside of the lense. Your camera should be back to normal.
2- If you droped the camera, you probably damaged or dislocated a mechanical part of the lense. You may have to take out the lense by unscrewing it and inspect it for damged parts or disconnected cable. Make sure clean the lense and test it by moving it in and out a few times, before puting it back on the camera.

Good luck!!!!!!!
