The reading lens inside the player should have accumulated dirt or must have been corrupted in some other way. You can get lens cleaning kits and this problem will be solved easily.

this problem occurs quite often if the players are used for a long time, or left without usage.

Many cleaning products out there.. heres one.. click here

Can I play a movie with extension avi on alba dvd plyer?

Unless stated otherwise, either on the player itself, or in the instruction manual, no. You would need to convert the .avi file to DVD compliant format in order to play it. ConvertXtoDVD can do this and can give you the option of burning the converted result directly to DVD-R. It is a shareware program.

Many DVD players can handle .divx files on a CD-R, but takes a while to read the contents before playing them, then there are .mp3 and .jpeg which is a fairly common file format, playable almost anywhere. It is unlikely or extremely rare that any standalone DVD player or similar external device can play .avi raw data files successfully.

There are heaps of video conversion software programs available.

I have a dvd player - DV200MW8. I have files on my computer in avi format. What formats will this dvd player play?

This DVD player only supports DVD and Audio CD format. There is no Divx decoder so your avi. files wont play on this player. It does not even support MP3 music files.

How can I burn a CD with a movie file to use on a DVD player?

First of all do you have the right kkind of dvd player?

I have a dvd player that plays DIVX movies, so I use Roxio software and burn a data cd of an avi. file. From my understanding AVI, DIVX, & MP4 can be read as a divx. Make sure you close you secission on the disc or it wont play.

Sony CD/DVD Player DVP-NS50P not playing my avi files DVD+RW

You need to convert avi files to dvd format before burning, otherwise the player won't recognize them. Google "avi to dvd" and you'll find a number of free or pay programs that will do the conversion for you.

Dvdr157 wont play avi or divx files

did you read the manual? reading your manual book will say what kind of format does it plays, many kinds of dvd can't play divx or avi. try to look at the labels that are printed at the front of your dvd player.

I have 2 sony dvd players, 1 can't read divx and avi but the other 1 can. they are different models.

so if you'll buy/purchase any model make sure it does lots. ok?

hope I helped you. have a good day.

Hope it was the non-acetone type of polish remover - acetone will melt plastic !!

Invest in a laser eye cleaning disk - the kind with the tiny brushes.

OK what type of file format are the files in on the disk you are tying to play?

IDM-1731 does not like .AVIs.

Check your documentation as to what type of files your player can actually read and play.

Sorry I'm not more help.

Sansui VRDVD4000 format

I do not believe this player plays AVI videos, not to mention whatever codec you are trying to use.

Download VSO ConvertXtoDVD and convert your AVI files to DVD and then burn them to DVD-R (NOT DVD+R), the 4.7GB discs (single-layer).

This process takes a very long time, depending on the size of the movies you are converting, some 1-2 hours, some 8-24 hours.

I suggest buying a Philips DVD Player that plays DivX and XviD AVI files, they seem to be the best. You can just burn the AVI to any disc and it will play. [Most popular seems to be Philips DVP 642]

Cheers.
