Gas leaks can be repaired. A leaky pipe fitting will be less expensive than a faulty gas valve assembly. Locate the source of the leak and replace or repair.

Our Whirlpool gas WGD5300 gas dryer makes a loud rumbling noise toward the end of the cycle or if there is a light load. The rollers and drum has already been replaced. The unit is only 18 months old. ...

Hi amymaundrell...

I think that your repairman missed replacing one of the drum rollers, or one of them was faulty, because that is the only thing that can make a loud rumbling noise as you describe...take the dryer back apart and check the rollers and also run the motor without the drum attached to check to see if the motor is the culprit.
I will include a link to the webpage for a parts breakdown and parts ordering is possible.
If the rollers look good, take them off anyway and clean and lube the rollers inside and also lube the shafts with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil or a light lube like vasoline. This will help the rollers in the future from making squeeling noises from metal to metal contact.

Why does my dryer make loud sqeeking noises while running

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication
Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm
pulley and motor.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots
or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably
only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as
3 in One oil.
Reassemble the dryer, plug back in.
This should solve your noise problem.

My Maytag gas dryer (MDG3000AWW) is making a terric noise. Checked the belt, rollers, motor and blower. All seem well. The drum however does not rotate smothely, Appears warped. Is this possible?

A warped drum is possible, but not likely. Check the bearing at the rear of the drum to see if it is breaking loose from the drum. If still under warranty, take advantage. If not, and the bearing IS breaking loose, the mount can probably be welded. If the drum interior is enameled finish, the damage can be repaired with epoxy. If the drum is stainless steel, the weld area can be re-polished to original. Hope this helps!

LG DRYER MAKING CLUNKING NOISE

Clunking could be from bad rollers or cracked drum. Check the drum seam for a crack. If its the rollers you can do the same thing as drum replacement only order the rollers. I got my parts from Sears parts. The below is for a 2514 but should be close for yours.

Ordered drum from Sears parts. 3045EL1002D
Cost of 85$ + 15 to ship. It came in 5 days.

Here is how to do it on a DLE2514W. Takes about an hour. I only used a phillips screw

driver. Take your time and look over the situation. I hope that I rememberd

everything. Good luck.
