I just got my Westinghouse LTV- 19W6 LCD today, plugged it into my DVD and I get no signal. I moved my tv to the computer and plugged that in and it worked, I press the source button on my remote and I only get DVI and D-Sub options... Confused!
In the troubleshooting guide it will indicate whether or not the tv is in mode for either computer, since it can also be used for connecting to a computer for tv out from the computer. This is not the same thing as just connecting to your regular cable wire to the back of the tv. When it is in this mode it will display on the screen "no signal detected". That's what it means, that you have to use the remote to make sure it's in the right mode then it will pick up the signal where it is supposed to come from. In using the dvd player you'd think it would just pick up the signal from the dvd player and that'd be it, but not if is doesn't know that's where the signal is supposed to be coming from. Just like some computers you have to tell it what to do. Your high end sets will automatically detect where the signal is coming from and make the appropriate format for you. With this set apparently you have to do it manually. I hope this works for you.
Try the user manual for possible solutions, usually in the troubleshooting section, there is a quick start guide and user manual at the Westinghouse website here:

If a generic brand remote doesn't list "Westinghouse," you're going to have to order a factory original. Went to Comcast site, scrolled down, and it said Westinghouse is........0463
An email from Westinghouse that fixed the problem for me.
Thank you for your inquiry.
We apologize for any inconvenience in waiting for our response, but below is what I can suggest to move forward.
It appears all you need to do is run a channel scan on the unit. Once you have run a channel scan, you will be able to scroll through the channels using the channel up and down buttons.

Have you tried to click the source button on the tv? It is the second button from the bottom on the right hand side of the screen.
I doubt your tv/monitor is turning off, it just isn't getting any input. D-Sub is the "pc monitor part".
Try clicking that button, give it sec, the hit it again. It will go through all of it inputs. If TV is what you are trying to find, it is directly after the Video input (green letters, top right hand side of the screen.) Keep hitting the button until TV shows up.
