Question about Wacom (PTZ930AC) Graphic Tablet

Intuos tablet keeps fading out

Occasionally, something disturbs the tablet, like plugging in another USB device, so I would replug the tablet. After afew tries it would light up and off I'd go. Problem has got worse and now the tablet just stops working of its own accord, the light dies and the tablet ids dead. I have to repeatedly replug it into my mac until it kicks in again, but is now virtually unusable. Wondering if a spare part is required which allows the current from the mac to be consistant

I have the same problem, but mine died almost immediately. Last night it was fading in and out ( the light kept blinking off and on when I moved the tablet), but as long as I didn't move it, it would work. This morning it's not working at all. I'm thinking it's something to do with the cord, but I don't know for sure.

On my sweet mac tower at work (2x2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon) I get this occasionally but on my poo mac mini at home (G4) it happens more frequently. However, on my Dell laptop I never get this issue.

If ur wacom has a touch pad for scrolling, i've found that touching it briefly wakes up the wacom.... but apart from that, it is very annoying how it keeps fading off like that.

Wacom Intuos Pro continues flashing a single white light, and no longer responds on any computer or with any USB cable, is it the battery or the wiring inside?

Laptops are much more limited on the supply side for powering USB devices. This is limited by the operating system in the computer. There are some things that you can try such as a shorter cord if the cord is detachable. The cord length affects the voltage and that in turn affects the current. The OS then senses it a drops the connection. This is partly for safety and partly for battery conservation. For some time, that device was not recommended by Apple to be used for that matter. There was a bulletin issued on it but it appears that Apple did not do anything to change the situation.

Where can I get a replacement USB cord for intuos 4 wacom tablet?

depends on the connector, looks like it could be a standard usb cable.
if it looks like this, standard usb cable.

There is also a micro 5 pin, used on most new cellphones.
or it could be a mini usb used for most cameras.
All pretty standard, one should fit. Good luck!

My computer is telling me I need to reinstall the software for my Wacom Intuos 3 tablet. I run on Windows 7. I've done nothing to uninstall it, why is it doing this?

Windows 7 is not fully compatible with older devices. You can try and update the driver or restart the PC, remove the device, and replace the Wacom tablet in another USB/serial port which will force Windows to recreate the device in the registry hopefully fixing the configuration.

Blue Light Not On

Check out your Universal Serial Bus controllers in your Device Manager. If anything is amiss there I would suggest you turn the computer off and remove the battery. That would be the equivalent of pulling the power cable. All my other devices worked as well in all USB ports. Just not my tablet. I think once the box is turned off you can hold the power button down for a minute or so which (used to anyway) guarantees all power is discharged.
