That has to do with the process drive gear box. May be mis timed or a gear broken.

You are sure it isnt 07,010,43 ????

  • Rick Kasper Apr 11, 2008

Ok then thats much better .

That code has to do with the print head tilt.

There are 3 things that usually cause that.

Most of the time it is the print head block, which if you remove the left side cover, (looking from the front) it is a stainless steel block located about mid way back on the machine, toward the bottom. It is about 1 inch square, and ink leaks into it and makes it very sticky, The print head then can not pivot betwen the home and print position.

The second most likely problem is the wiper blade is stuck to the print head. You can try turning it off and on a few more times, but if the wiper is tacked tightly, you will have to remove both side covers, and the ink loader, and gently pry the blade off the print head.

Thirdly are the cables that attach to the print head are restricting the free movement of the print head.

None of these are real difficult to do, Just take time and patience.

If you want more procedures etc. let me know. This is normally a pretty easy fix.

    Great,

Glad to have been able to help.

Not to terribly bad a job.

I forgot, in case that happens again, that block is pretty easy to remove once that spring holder is moved into position.

But I was neglent in mentioning that the block cleans easier if you have the time to soak it in some very hot water. It softens the ink and makes the block easier to clean.
    Good job.

Phaser 8500 error code 19,003.48:64663

19.003:48 is the error code 64663is the number of pages the unit has printed. the error indicates a power difference of +- 20% when trying to drive the printhead. The issue is the Electronics Module (System logic and power) or the Wave Amplifier (Printhead Controller). Both of the parts are fairly easy to replace. If it is the wave amp it is a somewhat affordable part.if it is the EM you should replace the printer. It isn't worth the fix.

My Phaser 8500 will not print and has error 08,045,43:75066 - Anyone know what this means?

The Xerox support site indicates there is a paper jam to the printer, so you should check the paper tray, front and exit cover for any jammed paper then power off and back on the printer. Have a look here: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-8500-8550/support/enus.html?operatingSystem=win7x64&fileLanguage=en

The printhead is stuck in the tilted position. Did you have a power outage or turn it off by unpuging it? Not hard to fix but you have to tear it down and rehome everything. sometimes if you turn it off and turn it back on it will find home on itself. But rehomeing it works every time. If you dont know how to do this call a service center.

Printer not working, error code 07,009.42:12244

Printer Errors 07,007.49 – 07,008.41 – 07,009.42 – 07,010.43 indicates that the printhead was unable to tilt normally on its axis.
run into and even though the diagnostics check out ok when I removed the ink loader I could see the print head was stuck towards the front. I slowly moved it back and after that the printer worked fine.

PDF documents do not print completely on my Xerox Phaser 8500

I am having the same problem. Sometimes my Xerox Phaser 8500 prints a PDF or web page fine, and other times I get pages and pages of what looks like PostScript code. I thought I had installed the most recent printer drivers, We are using primarily Macs with OS 10.4 or 10.5. One recent change is that we connected the printer to an Airport Express using a USB cable, which is sweet when it works correctly....any ideas???

Error code 19,003.48:75856

That is a print head calabration fault. 99 percent chance the print head has failed. That would require replacing hte print head.
That is a common problem on the 8500. Look for a dealer in your area if you want to repair is. Xerox will charge over $200 to show up and $750 for the print head.
