Question about Canon PIXMA MP150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Canon pixma for some reason i can't scan anything and save it on my computer i can scan it and it will copy it but won't bring it up so i save it on my compouter I have windows vista it worked with xp

    I seemed to have installed the drivers correctly but now i would like to scan but to do that i need to download mp navigator but i cannot seem to do that. when i attempt to, it does start but then it stops at 15%.therefore, it times out and therfore i cannot scan anything.

This comment is by nait again, and i fixed the problem. the reason why it timed out is because i was using my wireless and the internet cable should be plugged in so that it downloads faster. Now i have mp navigator. when I tried to instal mp navigator though, it said "wrong scan device or something along those lines." I fixed that too by either re-installing the correct driver at the canon website or I unplugged the usb cable from my labtop, turned off the printer ...then replugged it back in and turned the printer back on so that it could properly restart and install the device(i would try this option first). i think that's it.Also make sure download the correct driver version by looking at your computer properties.Hope this helps or if it makes sense.

The reason for that is the front is the paper output tray, the rear tray is where you load the paper. Anything you print, copy, or scanned (to print) will come out the output tray (in front) and will pull paper from the rear tray.

How do I scan to PDF's on my Canon MP530 printer? Is there a free driver I can download? I used to have one but my computer got a virus and when I had it fixed they wiped it out (I think).


Most computers these days have to have the CD installation disk to provide the drivers and the program to receive the scans. When you scan, it brings up the program to receive the scan. You will have most likely have to reinstall the CD on your computer in order to scan. You might check with Best Buy (their service section) to see if they have the installation CD you need. I used to work as a tech for them, and they often save extra CDs, or have copies just for situations like this.
I did find what looks to be a free driver download site. There is a chance that this will work, so it's worth a try. Here is the site:

My cannon pixma MP150 just won,t print or do anything, it is connected to the computer alright & the computer says that it is connected but it just won,t print or scan, can you please suggest anything...


probably you need to download the driver for windows 7 in the canon website.(www.canon.com.sg) if this doesnt solve your problem check the led and display of your printer. if the led blinks alternately in orange and green it means that your printer needs to be brought to an authorized service center for resetting and diagnostic.

MP470 will copy, but won't scan


It won't scan unless it's connected to your computer and you have scanning software running. It needs to know how to scan, how to save and where to save the scanned image.

Hello first step when u have scanned the photos it automatically ask do u want to scan one more after that save option is there u can save that on desktop its easy to copy paste in pen drive also

Machine is not recognizing the scan command (button?) no action, but I can copy. what do I do?


You have to be connected to a computer for the scan to work, also have Canon scan software running. After you press scan you choose how to save scan and then press black or color start to start the scan.

I can print a computer document in the canon pixma mp780 but I am unable to make a copy, come out blank. What is the problem?


For copy, first u need to scan a document. save it in ur desired format. then print it. give necessary instructions in scan & print settings. color/black&white, dpi, page sizes etc. etc.

Can I save a scanned image using MP610?


Yes. PIXMA MP610 is a multifunction printer that has printer/copier/scanner capabilities.
Just install the software and drivers supplied with your printer (or download them from CANON ) and connect the printer do the computer.
The printer sofware will guide you through the operation of scanning an image and saving it to a a file in the computer.

Secondly, to run the software your printer has to be in service mode. Do that by
- unplug cable
- press and hold "power" button
- plug cable
- press "resume" and release
- release the "power" button
At this stage, your computer will detect a new hardware

Run the software.
