Turns off and on repeatedly..

TV was working fine then this evening when I tried to turn it on, it acted like it was coming on then turned itself off...back on...back off...several times...all the while the little red light beside the power button was blinking. What could this be Every time I try to turn the TV on, all I see is the red timer light blinking ten times, then it stop blinking, without showing any picture at all, I removed the video card, and the blinking on the timer light stop stoped completely, so just installed back the video card, and it went back to the timer light blinking

By video card do you mean a Cablecard? I've heard of problems with Cablecards causing problems with the host television. Contact your cable provider about their card. Check to see if the TV works with other inputs without the cable card installed.

You have a problem with power supply, or a short inside tv. the tv switching off by itself it is because of a safety switch preventing the tv from receiving eventual further damage.
Probably changing the power unit inside the tv may fix the problem. It should be tested and eventually replaced.
Unless you are an expert DIYer you should call a service center in your area and have the tv repaired.

Technika Tv is receiving power and is trying to switch itself on .the standby light turns green for a few seconds and then goes rd . this cycle repeats itself constantly. Tv will not switch on .

There is some short circuit inside any one of the circuit boards. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock! Instead, contact any experienced service technician, or the nearest service center.

Tv turns itself off

do the self test the set has.

when green light (power) comes on and then goes off, press and hold BOTH the Menu and Input buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons on the front of the set.

The power light will display a error code: for example 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks (this is the most common one) and it will repeat the code about 5 times.

To get it to repeat it you have to unplug set, plug it back in and turn it one and when it fails repeat the check.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what may be wrong. I hope it is 2,2 as it is the least difficult to resolve.

Samsung DLP turns on and off - cycle repeats

make sure put the lamp door back before trying to turn it on because they have switches on them that allow the tv to turn on. If that is ok you probably have a bad ballast.
Call a local tv repair shop to further diagnose the problem.

It turns itself on and off repeatedly

Try this:

Unplug the tv let sit for a minute while you replace the batteries in the remote and cover the IR remote sensor on the front of the TV. Cover it with a piece of black tape or a piece of aluminum foil.
Plug the tv back in and turn on.
If it no longer turns on and off by itself then you have IR interference from some other remote operated device in the room.
If it does continue to turn on and off with the IR sensor covered then it is the internal wiring/processors and will need servicing.

Green flashes then tv turns off

or a new lamp. you could first replace the lamp.
the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.
